Yoo Jae Myung, also known as the character of Jang Dae Hee in the famous Korean drama "Itaewon Class," is in talks to star in a new drama project.
Yoo Jae Myung To Possibly Star in OCN's New Drama "Hometown"
On the 19th of February, according to Yoo Jae Myung's home agency, Ace Factory, "Actor Yoo Jae Myung is positively considering to appear in the forthcoming OCN drama 'Hometown' after receiving an offer as part of the cast."
"Hometown" is another mystery thriller drama that will occur in a small town, depicting the journey of finding the truth behind a recording tape that contains various mysterious killers and sounds that are still unidentified. Previously, it has been reported that actor Uhm Tae Goo is also considering to appear in the drama project.
The 47-year-old actor has been in the industry for more than 20 years, and throughout his journey of being a talented artist, he was able to showcase his credibility in acting from his various character portrayals. Movies to dramas, Yoo Jae Myung is always at his best.
Remarkable Role for Actor Yoo Jae Myung
One of his remarkable roles was in JTBC's most-watched drama in 2020, "Itaewon Class." He starred as Jang Dae Hee, the man behind the suffering of the main lead; Park Sae Ro Yi, played by Korean heartthrob and actor Park Seo Joon. Jae Myung's character was lauded by the viewers for his amazing projection. Even though he is a villain, the actor was able to show his true emotions and immersed himself in the role of Jang Dae Hee.
He also appeared in the romantic-comedy-drama "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" as the loving and caring father of Do Bong Soon, played by actress Park Bo Young. When it comes to movies, he also appeared in "Voice of Silence," "Baseball Girl," "King Maker," and more. In fact, he is also gearing up for two exciting films and expected to meet the viewers on the big screen with "Alien" and "Firefighter."

Following the success of the action drama "The Uncanny Counter," OCN is about to produce more intense and high-quality content for this year. Starting with "Times," which is scheduled to have its premiere on Feb 20 at 10:30 p.m (KST). Part of OCN's drama lineup for 2021 is "Dark Hole," "Voice 4", and "Hometown."
Meanwhile, Yoo Jae Myung is expected to be part of tvN's newest drama, "Vincenzo," alongside Song Joong Ki, Jeon Yeo Bin, and 2PM's Taecyeon. He will be portraying the role of Hong Yoo Chan, and you should look forward to seeing a new side of his character!
