"River Where the Moon Rises" has taken the lead in viewership ratings, and records its best yet after garnering 10% in viewership ratings!

"River Where the Moon Rises" is a remake of the classic Goguryeo folktale that retells the famous love story of two characters, Pyeonggang and On Dal.

Kim So Hyun stars as Pyeonggang, who was born a princess and raised as a warrior. She is a very ambitious woman who dreams of becoming the first-ever female leader of Goguryeo. She will do what it takes to achieve her goals. However, her plan changes when she meets the peace-loving man, On Dal. She plans to use On Dal's (Ji Soo) feelings to achieve her goals

On Dal's only desire is to live a peaceful and harmonious life. He is the exact opposite of the ambitious princess. The warrior princess eventually finds herself falling in love with the gentle On Dal.

On Dal, on the other hand, will be equally in love with the princess but will find himself forsaking his principles to keep his love safe. Forced to match both wits and strength against some of the most powerful people in Goguryeo, Pyeonggang's journey to hold power could very well cost her everything.

Kim So Hyun and Ji Soo's Drama 'River Where the Moon Rises' Marks its New Best Ratings Yet

"River Where the Moon Rises" has been captivating the viewers with their interesting story. Based on research conducted by Nielsen Korea, which is an audience rating research agency, the Feb. 23 episode of the drama has garnered an average nationwide rating of 6.3 and 10.0 percent. This marks as its new best for the drama so far. It is also the first time that it has broken into the 10 percent range!

Episode 4 Recap: "River Where the Moon Rises"

In the previous episode, Pyeonggang's father was surprised to see her in a palace room and immediately called his palace guards. Pyeonggang goes to the secret passage where she reunited with her nanny who gives her a big hug and reveals to her that she is the princess.

Meanwhile, he was hung upside down and was on the verge of drawing out all the blood but was able to escape and waits for Pyeonggang to comeback for him. Pyeonggang then decided to see the monk on the top of the mountain, where she discovered the truth about her past and felt sad. She discovered the real reason why On Dal's people are hiding in fear.

Pyeonggang and On Dal are entangled in their twisted fates.

In this episode, we can understand On Dal's pain when he finds out that the person he loves is the very reason why he and his people live in hiding. Of course, this is not an easy reality to take on.
