As actor Na In Woo makes his grand entrance in "River Where the Moon Rises" Episode 7, the drama continues to achieve good viewership ratings.
For episode 7 of the ongoing drama, which aired on March 8, Nielsen Korea shared that "River Where the Moon Rises" was able to achieve 6.7 and 8.7 percent viewership ratings. It slightly decreased during the episode 8 (aired on March 9) and was able to garner an average rating of 6.1 and 8.3 percent.

Viewers anticipated the appearance of Na In Woo in the drama, and after days of waiting, they are evidently satisfied to see him give life to the character of On Dal.
Episode 7: Meet the New Face of On Dal
On Dal's genuine intention towards the people around him captivated the attention of the viewers. His compassion was still prominent in this episode, from helping Pyeonggang's stepfather in a sudden ruckus near their home to sending Pyeonggang off to the palace. He is also worried about the tension happening in their neighborhood.
Meanwhile, going back to the palace, Go Gun (Lee Ji Hoon) confronted his father Go Won Pyo (Lee Hae Young) regarding what had happened to the princess while travelling on the mountains. Go Gun can't hide his frustrations towards his father and told him that he won't follow his orders. In return, Go Won Pyo threatened to disown his son if he disobeyed him.
The chemistry between Kim So Hyun and Na In Woo also started to arise. On Dal continues to be a support system to Pyeonggang. They are becoming more comfortable with each other and are always on the lookout to spend time together.
The episode ended wherein Pyeonggang was being dragged by a group of men and in the middle of knowing how she can escape.
It was a good start in establishing the new face of On Dal, Na In Woo was able to give justice to his new character.

Episode 8: The Palace is in Search for Princess Pyeonggang
Princess Pyeonggang disappeared from the palace, making her family worried sick and look for her desperately. His father, King Pyeongwon ordered the palace guards to start searching for the princess, until a group of women was found in the middle of the mountains. These are the people whom Pyeonggang spent the days outside the palace after being kidnapped by the Sono Tribe.
Another war is about to begin. Meanwhile, Go Gun and On Dal finally found where the Princess is. Upon venturing in the mountains, they were able to see her.
On Dal and Princess Pyeonggang were both ecstatic to see each other again. Go Gun, on the other hand, hid his jealousy towards the sweet reunion of the two.
Meanwhile, Hae Mo Yong was put into isolation after the King discovered that she was among the masteminds behind kicking Pyeonggang out of the palace.
As "River Where the Moon Rises" progresses, the plot also thickens and becomes more enthralling. Go Gun and Pyeonggang will be put to test where they have to fight against each other, raising anticipation from the audience. Episode 9 will be packed with a powerful alliance.
