Song Kang Shares his Thoughts about the Upcoming Drama 'Navillera'
Handsome actor Song Kang is currently preparing for the premiere of his upcoming drama "Navillera." Ahead of the drama's premiere, the actor participated in an online press conference held on March 16, 2021.
Song Kang shared that the drama's storyline is a unique one, and while he was still studying his character in the drama, he didn't think that it was hard at all. The actor continued by saying he did not feel any pressure when it comes to the audience's appeal. He was very satisfied with the project, and he was able to gain a lot of experience on set.
Describing "Navillera," the actor expressed that it was a piece of work that allows the viewers to feel good by the simple stories of a person's daily life.
"Navillera" tells the story of a 70-year-old retiree named Shim Duk Cheol (starred by Park In Hwan) who always dreamt of dancing ballet. However, his lifelong dream was put on hold due to his responsibilities to provide for his family. Then when he retired from his job, he decides to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a ballerino at the age of 70. Well, age doesn't matter when you really want to pursue your lifelong dream.
On the journey of pursuing his dream, he then meets the 23-year-old ballet student named Lee Chae Rok. He is having a hard time financially after choosing to pursue ballet despite his father's wishes. His mother used to be a ballerina, but she has already passed away.

Why is Song Kang dubbed as the 'Son of Netflix'
South Korean actor Song Kang is making a name for himself internationally as he takes on more Netflix dramas. The 26-year-old actor is widely recognized for starring in various Netflix originals projects; namely the apocalyptic horror Netflix original "Sweet Home" and the Romantic-themed drama series "Love Alarm 1" and "Love Alarm 2".
The upcoming series "Navillera" is going to his latest Netflix release. Due to his frequent appearance on Netflix, Song Kang was dubbed as Korea's 'Son of Netflix.' He's known as the Korean version of the "To All the Boys I Loved Before" star Noah Centineo, who has been called the 'Netflix's son globally.' Song Kang revealed he hopes to become an actor worthy of that title through his upcoming drama "Navillera."
"Navillera" is scheduled to premiere on March 22, 2021, on tvN and Netflix. The drama series is a remake of a Daum webtoon by the same name.
