After months of rumors, it has been confirmed that Jung Ji-hoon, a.k.a Rain, is set to appear for a forthcoming drama "Ghost Doctor."
According to multiple reports, the singer-songwriter turned actor will play the lead role of Cha Young Min in an upcoming fantasy medical drama, slated to debut sometime in the second half of 2021.
Directed by Boo Sung Chul, whose famous works includes "Heirs" and "Our Gap Soon "and penned by Kim Sun Soo, the much-anticipated series follows the story of two doctors who are completely opposite - may it be their medical skills, backgrounds, and personalities that affect their relationship with each other.
In addition, "Ghost Doctor" will be under the production company Bon Factory, who have created hit shows such as "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?," "You're Beautiful," and "Master's Sun,"
Last month, the actor's agency Sublime Artist Agency released an official statement stating that the "A Love to Kill" star is reviewing his possible comeback after being courted to star in an upcoming project.
"Rain is currently in discussions to appear in the drama 'Ghost Doctor,' and he is currently reviewing the offer," they stated.

Fans are Thrilled over Rain's Forthcoming Drama "Ghost Doctor"
Following the news about Rain's return to the small screen, fans can't help but express their excitement over Twitter.
"Wohooo! a new medical drama is on board.... 'Ghost Doctor'? And Rain is confirmed as the male lead!" one fan posted.
Meanwhile, the second user appears to can't wait for his major comeback.
"He is coming back to T.V. I'm so happy."
On the other hand, an individual expressed her wish, which involves Rain's wife, Kim Tae Hee.
"I wish your wife would be the female lead."
Rain Returns after the 2019 Drama "Welcome 2 Life"
"Ghost Doctor" will be the "Switch to Me" hitmaker's first drama appearance in two years.
To recall, Rain's last tv series was for M.B.C.'s "Welcome 2 Life" in 2019, alongside Lim Ji-Yeon and Kwak Si-yang. He played the role of Lee Jae Sang, a famous lawyer at J.K. Law Firm, which is considered as one of the biggest law firms in South Korea.

Aside from his upcoming medical drama series, Rain keeps himself busy with his family and, of course, his new boy group, Ciipher.
The seven-member boy group under the R.A.I.N. Company that includes Won, Tan, Hwi, Hyunbin, Keita, Tag, and Dohwan, recently released their music video debut "I Like You" featuring Kim Tae Hee.
Debuting last March 15, the four-minute music video shows how the members fell head over heels with the award-winning actress's captivating beauty whom they only saw on tv.
However, the boys are pushing their luck as they attempt to win Kim Tae Hee's heart.
Prior to the release of Ciipher's music video, a source from the actor's company revealed that the 40-year-old actress is expressing her support to her husband by making a cameo appearance in the group's first music video.
This is said to be the actress' first appearance after her hit drama, "Hi Bye Mama" in 2020.
