SBS Drama continues to tease its viewers with intense trailers for the upcoming "Joseon Exorcist."

Set to debut this March 22, every Monday and Tuesday night, the much-awaited period drama stars Jang Dong Yoon, Park Sung Hoon, and Kam Woo Sung as the lead cast members.

In a recent report, the network revealed that "Joseon Exorcist's" episodes one and two are rated 19+.

This means only viewers who are 19-year-old and above are allowed to watch the show due to the program's adult theme, strong language, sexual, violent, or disturbing scenes.

In addition, the first two episodes are slated to air in a special broadcast with a running time of 70 minutes each.

Aside from the forthcoming series, JTBC's hit drama "The World of the Married" was also given rated 19+ programming.

This was due to its controversial scenes and an intense plot that are rarely seen in 15+ programming.

"Joseon Exorcist" Cast

For months, "Joseon Exorcist" has been the talk of the town since it was announced last year, mainly because of its powerhouse cast and exciting storyline.

Moreover, the highly anticipated SBS show is a fantasy exorcism drama that revolves around a vicious battle between humans and evil spirits in order to contain the chaos and protect the people.

Directed by Sin Kyeong-Soo and written by Park Kye-ok, the story follows the lives of King Taejong, played by Kam Woo Sung, alongside his two sons, Prince Yangnyeong and Prince Chungnyeong, portrayed by Park Sung Hoon and Jang Dong Yoon, and their journey to save the town from demons.

Aside from the lead stars, other cast members also include Kam Woo Sung, who will play the role of Byeo-Ri, Seo Young-Hee as Queen Wonmyung, "Next Door Neighbor" actress Lee Yoo Bi, as Eo-ri, Jung Hye Sung as Moo-Hwa and Keum Sae-Rok will be Hyee-Woom.

"Joseon Exorcist" Teasers

Earlier this year, SBS unveiled a series of previews and stills as they teased its viewers for the nearing debut of "Joseon Exorcist."

Released in January, the first trailer for the zombie horror historical drama showed that the town - under the Joseon Dynasty, was being attacked by the evil spirits of the undead, called saengsi.

In the clip, Prince Chungnyeong, a scholar who is tasked to fight the undead spirits by bringing back a priest from the West to perform an exorcism in hopes of ending the chaos.

Not Your Typical Zombie Movie

With the success of the "K-Zombie" series, some think that "Joseon Exorcist" is comparable to Netflix's "Kingdom."

Interestingly, the series' director Shin Kyung Soo explained in the recent press conference that the forthcoming drama was inspired by "real historical figures."

Moreover, they wanted to "create a realistic feeling of horror" by featuring "evil spirits and demons in various shapes and forms."

"I think that's what sets us apart from 'Kingdom.' We go beyond the physical aspect and into the psychological and religious aspects," the director explained based on the recent report.
