Kim Sejeong to Possibly Play the Character of a Webtoon Editor in New Drama
According to a report on April 5, the "Uncanny Counter" star Kim Sejeong is being courted to play as the lead character of SBS' forthcoming series "Today's Webtoon."
Following the success of OCN's "Uncanny Counter," the 24-year-old actress is now in talks to start in a drama with a different genre.
"Today's Webtoon" is originally based on a Japanese hit drama "Sleepeeer Hit," which was broadcast on TBS Japan in 2016. It tells the story of a woman who used to be in a Olympic Judo team and broke a new path in a webtoon editorial department.
Entering the publishing world gave her a new dream. She learns everything on hand. She is fascinated in working with new and old writers in the company. However, she will find herself having a hard time adjusting with the new work environment.
The publishing industry is going through a crisis due to e-books. The members of the editorial department are struggling to think of ways on how they could sell more books in the market.
If Sejeong accepts the offer, she will potray the character of the new employee in the editorial department.
