In the wake of Kim Jung Hyun's controversy involving Girls' Generation's Seohyun, Seo Ye Ji's name is being dragged.

Dispatch revealed a bombshell report citing that the "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" actress, who was the actor's girlfriend at the time, was the reason behind his rude behavior towards the SNSD member.

Was Seo Ye Ji the Mastermind behind the Seohyun-Kim Jung Hyun Controversy?

It came after the publication released a series of text messages between the "Mr. Queen" actor and the 31-year-old actress.

During their conversation, Seo Ye Ji instructed him to "refrain from all physical contact" and do his scenes "without passion."

Moreover, she even advised her then-boyfriend to request the writers to revise the script "so it won't have any romantic scenes" with the Girls' Generation member.

At the time, the singer-actress and Kim Jung Hyun were filming for their 2018 drama "The Time," where Seohyun's character Seol Ji Hyun is the love interest of Cheon Soo Ho, portrayed by the actor.

In the recent report, the MBC drama writer Choi Ho Chul reportedly abided by his request and changed his script multiple times. If this weren't met, the "Crash Landing on You" star would "run out, and dry heaved."

Furthermore, the outlet also revealed how the SNSD member would become deeply involved in her role but will be interfered by Kim Jung Hyun.

Kim Jung Hyun and Seo Ye Ji's Respective Agencies React to the Issue Cited by Dispatch

Amid the controversy, Kim Jung Hyun and Seo Ye Ji's agencies denied the accusation and mentioned that they were clueless about the duo's plan.

The actress' management, Gold Medalist, released a statement stating that they are verifying and "looking into" the details after their talent has been painted into a bad light.

Meanwhile, the "School 2017" star's current agency, O& Entertainment, says that they chose not to comment on this issue as well as the resurfaced controversy with his "The Time" co-star, given that he is now "in talks" with another management.

"We are currently going through a contractual dispute, so we have nothing to say about the issue. Kim Jung Hyun wants to leave us and announced he is in talks with Culture Depot. We are unable to issue a statement at the moment."

To recall, Kim Jung Hyun's dispute with O& Entertainment came to light after the management accused him of "attitude" problems and violating his talent contract.

In addition, the agency also mentioned that the production company that supervised "The Time" planned to file a lawsuit against the actor after abruptly quitting the drama.

Fortunately, it was the O& Entertainment who convinced the production company not to raise things in court.

Kim Jung Hyun's Attitude Towards Seohyun

At the height of the controversy, netizens urged the actor to apologize to the Girl's Generation member for mistreating her in 2018; hence the hashtag #ApologizetoSeohyun trends on Twitter.

Moreover, fans also cited that his apology during his comeback for the "Crash Landing on You" drama lacked sincerity and pointed out that his agency forced him to do this for his reputation.
