Producers of KBS 2TV's drama "Revolutionary Sisters" announced that they would be postponing their production after a cast member came in close contact with a COVID-19 positive patient.
In an official statement obtained by a South Korean publication, the comedy-romance series is set to have a one-week break to follow the health protocols and government-mandated rules for the safety of the whole cast and crew.
It came after lead star Hong Eun Hee, who plays the role of Lee Kwang-Nam, entered a self-quarantine after being in contact with someone who has COVID-19.
Despite the whole cast and crew testing negative from the dreaded virus, Hong Eun Hee still needed to undergo quarantine for two weeks as a safety precaution.
With this, "Revolutionary Sisters" episode 11 and 12 will air on April 24 and 25, instead of the scheduled April 17 and 18.
Furthermore, the management also viewed that they will "adhere closely to health authorities' guidelines" and closely monitor "to prevent the spread of COVID-19" for everyone's safety.
On the other hand, the 41-year-old actress' agency, Namoo Actors, also addressed the issue and said that it was one of her glam team who tested positive for COVID-19.
Moreover, aside from the "Less than Evil" actress, "a number of staff members have gone into self-quarantine."
Following the COVID-19 scare, the agency apologized for the inconvenience and concern that it caused, adding that their "company plans to continue to actively adhere to government policies in the future, and we will do our utmost for the safety of our agency's actors, employees, and staff."
