Bae Suzy Celebrates her 11th Anniversary

During her chat with the Harper's Bazaar team, the four-time Baeksang Arts winner gets candid as she spoke about her insights and reflects on her 11 years in showbiz.

The "Vagabond" actress shared that she felt like time flies quickly; however, she also mentioned that instead of living in the past, she pays attention to the future and focuses more on what has yet to come.

"It still looks like yesterday, but I think this time has already passed. Rather, it seems that I am more concerned about how to spend the time in the future rather than the time that has passed."

To recall, Bae Suzy was first introduced in 2010 as a member of a then-popular girl group Miss A, alongside fellow idols Fei, Jia, and Min.

She then transitioned to become an actress and made her acting debut in KBS2's music teen drama "Dream High."

With her undeniable skill and beauty, she landed several remarkable dramas and films. This includes her breakthrough performance in the movie "Architecture 101" where she portrayed the role of Seo-Yeon, who lives in the past.

The film's massive success also earned her the title of "nation's first love"--a nickname given to up-and-coming stars in the industry.

Aside from her melodrama movie, which is considered as one of the ten most-watched films in Korea, Bae Suzy was able to land some notable dramas such as "While You Were Sleeping," "Vagabond," and the recently the hit tvN drama "Start Up" together with Nam Joo-Hyuk, Kim Sun-Ho and Kang Han-Na.

Bae Suzy Talks About Challenges and How she Keeps a Positive Vibe

When facing a difficult situation, Bae Suzy keeps things positive and avoids not getting stuck or "caught up in negative moods."

She lives by the mantra "life is too short" and learns to appreciate and celebrate the important things in the present.

Despite her massive success and being named as one of the highest-paid actresses, Bae Suzy likes to keep her feet on the ground and knows how to give back to people.

In a previous article, the singer-actress regularly celebrates her birthday tradition by donating to charities.

Life Share Association reportedly shared that her total donation with the non-profit organization has reached around 359,000 USD or 400 million won, which was used to treat patients with incurable diseases such as leukemia and pediatric cancer.
