Gong Yoo and Park Bo Gum's movie "Seobok" debuts with impressive response from the public.
In a recent report, the thriller sci-fi film receives favorable reviews from the viewers as it hits the number one box office as cited by the integrated computer network for cinema admission rights of the Korea Film Promotion Commission.
Directed and written by Lee Yong-Ju, whose famous works include the 2012 blockbuster film "Architecture 101," "Seobok" premiere was initially slated in December 2020 but pushed through on April 15 due to the sudden rise of COVID-19 cases.
Based on the report, the much-awaited movie has amassed a 45,155 audience on its first day of simultaneous release and has ranked number one in cinemas, including Megabox and CGV, as well as the reservation site Yes24, Naver Movies, Interpark, and Daum Movies.

Seobok Cast and Synopsis
"Seobok" stars the OG Oppa Gong Yoo and South Korea's heartthrob Park Bo Gum as they delivered an unexceptional bromance between a human clone and a human being.
The "Train to Busan" actor played the role of Ki Heon, who is an ex-intelligence agent. His objective is to protect Seobok, the first-ever genetically mutated human clone that holds the secret to eternal life, which Park Bo Gum portrayed.
Aside from securing the safety of Seobok, Ki Heon's mission is to fend off dangerous forces that will try to get the human clone for their own personal agendas.
Other than the duo, "Seobok" cast also includes Jo Woo Jin as Chief Ahn, Jang Young Nam as Dr. Lim Se Eun, Park Byung Eun, who plays Shin Hak Seon and Han Ji Hyun as yong ju.

During his shoot for Esquire magazine's April 2021 cover, the "Coffee Prince" star detailed his working relationship with his "Seobok" co-star.
At the time, he mentioned that the 27-year-old actor reminds him of his younger self.

The "Goblin" star recently graced Elle Korea's cover for the upcoming May 2021 issue in celebration of his 20 years in showbiz.
During the interview, the 41-year-old A-lister says that he wasn't counting the years that he has been in the industry, but instead, he revealed that it was his fans "who inform him about these things."
Interestingly, he also shared what made him realize how long it was since his debut.
"A few days ago, I saw an advertisement and made me realize that it has been ten years since I started doing coffee advertisements," Gong Yoo recalled, adding "I was not expecting at all, but I was surprised when my working crew and advertiser gave me a bouquet of flowers to congratulate me."
