Youn Yuh Jung made a historic win after scoring a major category at the recently concluded 93rd Academy Awards.
The 73-year-old became the first-ever South Korean celebrity to win an Oscar with her groundbreaking performance in the movie "Minari."
It came after the veteran actress took home the Best Supporting Actress as she surpassed her fellow nominees, including award-winning British actress Olivia Coleman, Glenn Close, Amanda Seyfried, and Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova.
South Korean Celebrities Honors Youn Yuh Jung's Oscar Win
Following her monumental achievement, South Korean actors and actresses celebrate her winning moment with overflowing support on social media.
"Mr. Sunshine" star Lee Byung-hun took to Instagram as he shared a photo of the "Minari" actress with her Oscar trophy alongside a message that reads, "Impossible is not a fact, it's just an opinion."
To recall, the 50-year-old actor and Youn Yuh Jung have worked together in the 2018 movie " To The Heart."
The same goes with the "Parasite" actor Choi Woo-Shik, who revealed in his recent interview on "Youn's Stay" that he was emotional and moved by the veteran actress' historic win.
Meanwhile, one of Youn Yuh Jung's celebrity friends, Song Hye Kyo, shared a photo of the veteran actress and congratulated her for winning at the Oscars 2021.
"Sunsaengnim, congratulations!" Song Hye Kyo's Instagram reads, followed by a rose emoji.

The 73-year-old Oscar winner can't help but swoon over Brad Pitt's charming looks as he presented the award for Best Supporting Actress.
Youn Yuh Jung expressed her admiration to the "Fury" star saying, "Mr. Brad Pitt, finally nice to meet you - where were you while we were filming in person?" adding, "Let me pull myself together" before saying her moving acceptance speech.

Aside from Youn Yuh Jung's flirtatious Oscar speech with Brad Pitt, the "Minari" actress stole the show with her tongue-in-cheek remark at the 2021 British Academy Film Awards.
At the time, the trailblazing actress went on stage to accept her first-ever BAFTA award as Best Supporting Actress. She starts her message by expressing her condolences to Prince Philip, who passed away at 99.
The actress then followed by thanking everyone who voted for her and being recognized by British people, whom she described as "very snobbish people."
Asked Fellow Nominees if her English is Right During SAG Awards
Earlier this month, Youn Yuh Jung won another major award. The South Korean actress scored Best Supporting Actress at the SAG Awards 2021.
A teary-eyed Youn Yuh Jung appeared at a virtual ceremony and seemed surprised after the presenter called her name.
She once again began her speech by thanking everyone and felt honored for "being recognized by Westerners."
On the other hand, she also admitted that her English was not the best and asked her co-nominees if they can understand her, to which they replied with a big smile and thumbs up.
