'Mouse' Actress Cheon Jeong Ha Dies at 52 + Cause of Death Revealed

Cheon Jeong Ha, who recently appeared in the tvN drama "Mouse," passed away at the age of 52.

In a report cited by Yonhap News, the actress was found dead at her home after suffering from low blood pressure.

Aside from this, the outlet also mentioned that Cheon Jeong Ha's death was presumed to be due to kidney failure such as hypotension.

As of now, her family has not yet released a statement following the 52-year-old actress' death.

How Cheon Jeong Ha Started Acting

Born on July 22, 1969, Cheon Jeong Ha started acting in 1990 after graduating at Hongik University with a degree in History Education.

She first starred in theater and has done several stage plays, which include "Youth Yechan," "Rat," "Japan," "Gray," "Wolf Grows Eyeballs First," and "Happy Young Day."

With her success in theater, she moved to the small screen and landed her first-ever drama in 2006.

She starred as Hye-young's mother, portrayed by Bae So-Yeon in the thriller drama "Coma" alongside lead stars Lee Young Jin, Lee Ro Gun, Im Won Hee, Lee Se Eun, and Myung Ji Yun.

This was followed by her movie debut in 2010, where she joined "Twilight Gangsters" as a guest role playing Kim Jung Ah's Landlady.

2020 has brought a lot of projects for the 52-year-old actress as she lands top-rating drama series. This includes "Flower of Evil," where she portrays a KCSI Investigator in episode 3, as well as in the crime thriller drama "Stranger 2," starring Jo Seung Woo and bae Doona.

In addition, Cheon Jeong Ha also appeared in the JTBC romantic comedy "More Than Friends."

As for her latest drama, the actress recently appeared in JTBC's "Beyond Evil" as Maria, the masseuse in episode 8, and in tvN's popular drama "Mouse" starring Lee Seung Gi, Lee Hee Joon, Park Joo Hyun, and Kyung Soo Jin.

Korean Celebrities who Passed Away in 2021

Aside from Cheon Jeong Ha, three Korean celebrities died in the first quarter of 2021.

Just recently, multiple outlets cited that the aspiring actress Jo Hana, who appeared in an episode of KBS' "Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller" died due to suicide.

It came after her friend shared a social media post confirming that the newcomer took her life.

The alleged reason behind Jo Hana was being victimized in a scam, causing her to lose two million won or an estimated $1,800.

In January of this year, model turned actress Song Yoo-Jung passed away at the age of 26.

The devastating news was confirmed by her agency Sublime Artist confirmed but did not reveal the cause of her death. However, some media outlets noted that the actress died after committing suicide.

Following Song Yoo-Jung's death, another celebrity was found lifeless in his apartment complex in Jung District, Seoul. The said celebrity was South Korean rapper Iron, whose real name is Chung Heon-Chul.
