Na In Woo to Transform into a Fishmonger in "The Jinx's Lover"

"River Where the Moon Rises" star Na In Woo is confirmed to lead the romance-fantasy drama "The Jinx's Lover." He will be playing the role of Gong Soo Gwang, who has a special power to bring bad luck to others.

He used to be popular before in his place, but after meeting Seulbi 7 years ago, Gong Soo Gwang lost everything, and his life completely changed.

He may not be a man with a bright and secured future, but he has the power to express the unlucky character in the world with his own unique color.

"The Jinx's Lover" is a webtoon-based series that tells the story of a human who considers his unfortunate life as a fate, which was given by a goddess who jumps out of the unknown world. It will be more interesting when a poor and unlucky man finally meets the goddess of luck.

Meanwhile, this new drama will be a reunion project for Na In Woo and director Yoon Sang Ho. They first worked together in "River Where the Moon Rises," and were able to build a good and strong relationship as colleagues.

Other cast members and details about the series are yet to be announced.

Writer Jang Yoo Mi will pen the manuscript, and the filming schedule is expected to kickstart in the second half of 2021.

Na In Woo secured the spot as the new lead actor in "River Where the Moon Rises" after Ji Soo stepped down due to school violence controversies.

Nonetheless, the unexpected project gave the young star a chance to develop his full potential as an artist. Even the "River Where the Moon Rises" cast and crew were astounded by how passionate Na In Woo was at work.

And because of his hard work, Na In Woo has been nominated in the upcoming Baeksang Arts Awards for the Best New Actor category, alongside fellow promising stars Lee Do Hyun, Song Kang, Nam Yoon Soo, and Kim Young Dae.
