Kim Jung Hyun is no longer under the talent agency O& Entertainment after his contract officially expires on March 12.
To recall, his now-former agency and the "Crash Landing On You" star had a contract dispute following his 11-month hiatus in the industry.
Kim Jung Hyun's Representative Spoke out on the Issue with O& Entertainment
Now, the 31-year-old star's representative, who is also his brother, addressed the issue and formalized that his bond with the agency has come to an end.
In addition, the official statement pointed out that Kim Jung Hyun has "remained silent in order to avoid" disagreement between O& Entertainment.
Furthermore, Kim Jung Hyun's side claims that despite being silent and mum about the issue involving Seo Ye Ji and his "Time" co-star, his former management continued to "make false claims and cause false information."
"While there were attempts [from the agency] to contact us for a discussion, the circumstances continuously raised suspicions about the agency's authenticity and sincerity about reaching an agreement," the statement reads.
With this, his representative pointed out that their team is taking legal action, adding that they will "no longer overlook any behavior such as objections about his contract duration, the spread of false information and defamation.
Amid Kim Jung Hyun's issue with O& Entertainment, a South Korean based publication YTN revealed that the "Mr. Queen" star personally went to a hospital and was diagnosed with panic disorder, anxiety disorder, sleep disorder, and also experienced depressive episodes.
This is based on the record from January 7, 2019, to April 10, 2021, as obtained by the outlet.
In addition, the publication also noted that a source mentioned that the actor had informed his former agency and the people around him regarding his condition, even before he started the Korean drama "Time."
Initially, he wanted to turn down the mystery romance drama, "but they pressed ahead" with it and ended up quitting "Time."

O& Entertainment to Shut Down?
Seemingly, O& Entertainment was preparing to close down before Kim Jung Hyun's controversy came to light.
The documents gathered by YTN showed that the talent agency is about to shut down on March 31.
Moreover, the management also issued dismissal notices to their employees and managers, as cited by a different outlet.
Kim Jung Hyun Transferring to Culture Depot?
Back in April, Kim Jung Hyun was reported to transfer to Seo Ji Hye's agency, Culture Depot, after being rumored to be dating his "Crash Landing in You" co-star.
The agency then revealed a statement saying that they are" positively discussing an exclusive contract" with the actor.
The "Eulachacha Waikiki" actor made it to the headlines after his behavior towards his "Time" co-star Girls' Generation's Seohyun resurfaced and was criticized for his rough treatment to his leading lady.
In addition, his former girlfriend Seo Ye Ji was dragged into the controversy and was pointed out to be the mastermind behind Kim Jung Hyun's bad behavior on set.
