Gong Seung Yeon revealed her true feelings about being the older sister of TWICE's Jeongyeon.
The 28-year-old actress recently attended the Jeonju International Film Festival, where she bagged the Best Actress award for her impressive role in the 2021 movie "Aloners."
She played the role of Jin Ah, a call center agent who lacks social relationships with other people.
In the news obtained by an online portal, Gong Seung Yeon felt thrilled with her new achievement, adding that the Best Actress award has prompted her to "restart" her acting career with a new light and "high motivation."
Gong Seung Yeon's Relationship with TWICE's Jeongyeon
Aside from her beauty and acting prowess, the "Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency" star is also known as the sister of TWICE's Jeongyeon.
There's no doubt that showbiz and being a public figure runs in their family.
However, Gong Seung Yeon gets honest and shares what it's like to be her sister.
According to the outlet, the "My Only Love Song" actress admitted that she has been receiving requisitions relating to Jeongyeon, and it made her feel a "little bitter" about it.
"At first, I loved being Jungyeon's sister, and that gave me the reassurance that both my sister and I were working hard. But in the past award ceremonies, when I constantly received questions referencing Jungyeon, I did feel a little bitter about it," she explained.
However, despite having a famous sibling, the 28-year-old actress said that she's getting more used to it now since both of their lives are in the public eye.
In addition, she also realized that being in the same industry gave them "opportunities to work on projects together," she mentioned, adding, "I don't hate it."
Both Gong Seung Yeon and Jeongyeon are cementing their name in their respective fields and are proud of each other's achievements.
Back in November 2020, the "Are You Human Too?" actress posted a short clip of the KPop star alongside a sweet message for her 25th birthday.
"Congrats to my youngest sister's birthday. Let's be happy."
Over Gong Seung Yeon's Instagram, TWICE's Jeongyeon was seen wearing a birthday hat as she blew her candle.
Aside from her sister, fellow girl group members also showered her with heartfelt messages as she celebrated another milestone.

Gong Seung Yeon's Upcoming Projects
Gong Seung Yeon, whose real name is Yoo Seung Yeon started in 2012 and trained as a singer under SM Entertainment.
Three years later, she won first place in the Best Youth Selection Contest conducted by the renowned agency.
Since then, her acting career skyrocketed after joining the fourth season of the Korean reality show "We Got Married" and appeared in guest and supporting roles in various dramas including "My Lovely Girl," "Heard it Through the Grapevine," and "Six Flying Dragons."
With almost a decade-long career in the entertainment industry, Gong Seung Yeon's latest project is the horror comedy movie "Handsome Guys" alongside fellow lead stars Lee Sung Min and Lee Hee Joon.
In addition, she also has an upcoming drama, "The Immortal," which is set to air sometime in 2022.
