Lee Je Hoon gets honest about his dream project and shares his shocking preparation for Netflix's "Move to Heaven."

During his recent appearance in KBS 2TV entertainment program "Year Middle Live," hosted by Kim Seung Hye, the 36-year-old actor mentioned his dream project.

Why Did Lee Je Hoon Envies Ryu Jun Yeol?

He shared that he wanted to do a "passionate romance" drama or film in the future and admitted that he is jealous of Ryu Jun Yeol.

When asked why he envies the "Reply 1988" actor, Lee Je Hoon pointed out that he got to work alongside award-winning actress Jeon Do Yeon.

"I have a love for my peers, but I also dream of a passionate melody with my seniors," he explained.

Ryu Jun Yeol has been casted as one of the lead stars for the upcoming JTBC drama "No Longer Human" opposite the 48-year-old actress and "Oh My Baby" actor Park Byung Eun.

Lee Je Hoon is among the leading South Korean action stars and is considered as one of the country's commercially successful actors.

For more than a decade in the entertainment industry, he managed to land several notable dramas and films.

This includes "Architecture 101" alongside Bae Suzy, 2018 drama "Where Stars Land" and the movie "Bleak Night," where he won his first-ever award as Best New Actor in Grand Bell and Blue Dragon Film Award.

Now, his latest drama is the top rating SBS' "Taxi Driver" together with Esom, Kim Eui Sung and Pyo Ye Jin.

He plays Kim Do Ki, a former member of the special forces but chose to work for the company Rainbow Taxi, which delivers satisfying revenge from the victims whom the law didn't protect.

Lee Je Hoon Shares his Intense Preparation for "Move to Heaven"

Aside from his current drama, the 36-year-old actor also stars in the recently premiered Netflix original series with Tang Jun Sang and "Navillera" actress Hong Seung Hee.

Released last May 14, Lee Je Hoon's "Move to Heaven" character plays a martial arts player who engages in an illegal match.

During his chat with "Year Middle Live," he told host Kim Seung Hye that he needed to bulk up for the role and described the process as "very difficult."

Moreover, Lee Je Hoon revealed that he spent most of his time exercising to embody the image of a martial arts fighter.

The actor not only transformed his body for the drama but also changed his hairstyle to look more rough.

He jokingly mentioned that the haircut reminds him of former football goalkeeper Kim Byung-Ji who sports a mullet hairstyle.

Speaking of the retro hairstyle, the actor also recalled when he used to refer to himself as Angus MacGyver from the US tv series "MacGyver" played by Richard Dean Anderson.

"When I was young, I loved MacGyver," he mentioned, adding that he used to call himself as the tv character while walking around in their neighborhood. "I'm not Lee Je-hoon, but I'm a MacGyver," he shared.
