CIIPHER's Tan is onto a new challenge after RAIN Company confirmed his appearance in the web drama "Phantom School."
The entertainment company, founded by singer-actor Rain, revealed that the boy group member is set to have his acting debut for the upcoming drama.
In the news obtained by a South Korean outlet, the management announced that the 25-year-old idol, whose real name is Choi Seokwon, will be having his first ever drama project and casted as one of the main characters.
The forthcoming drama will be produced by the production company Bamboo Network.
CIIPHER's Tan is Thrilled for his Acting Debut
Following the news regarding his first-ever acting project, CIIPHER's Tan admitted that he felt mixed emotions for his new drama, but he vowed to give his best in his future activity.
"I am excited and nervous, but I am trying my best to show a good image as an actor."
Moreover, the boy group member also mentioned that he would showcase a different side of him.
Lastly, he encourages fans to support him for his upcoming drama.
"This is different from what I showed with Cypher's shot through this drama. I am going to show you another new look. Please give me a lot of support and expectations."

What You Need to Know about "Phantom School"
The forthcoming web drama is an action-fantasy exorcism that focuses on phantoms and their mission to disrupt the world.
In order to pursue their target, these mysterious creatures aim to manipulate humans who are consumed by desire.
On the other hand, phantoms are eager to attack the hunters who will attempt to destroy their existence.
As for the Kpop Idol, he is set to play the role of Lee Do Gyeom, the male protagonist who is a senior in the grade of Kang Yoo Na (NCA).
His character was also described as someone who has a kind personality and handsome appearance that most students envy.
However, behind his almost perfect personality and warm appearance lies a mystery.
More about Choi Seokwon, a.k.a CIIPHER's Tan
Before joining Rain's boy band group, CIIPHER, Choi Seokwon was a former Starship Entertainment trainee.
Moreover, he was one of the 13 contestants on the survival show "NO MERCY" that formed MONSTA.
Unfortunately, he was eliminated on the show's episode 10 and enlisted in the military.
After completing his military service, he trained under RAIN Company and managed to join the up-and-coming group, CIIPHER, a seven-member boy band that debuted last March 2021.
At the time of their debut press showcase, while promoting their first album, "I Like You" Tan recalled the moment when he joined "No Mercy."
He explained that after he got booted out, he enlisted in the military to help organize his thoughts.
After his service, that was that time when he realized that he wanted to pursue his singing career.
