Super Junior's Siwon to Make His Small Screen Return with "Oh My Lord"
In a recent report, it was confirmed that idol-actor Siwon had been cast to be part of the forthcoming drama "Oh My Lord."
According to various entertainment industry officials on June 8, Choi Siwon was cast as the male lead in the new upcoming drama "Oh My Lord," scheduled to kick off in the second half of 2021.
The series depicts the story of a 30-year-old woman who makes her drinking habit a belief in her life. "Oh My Lord" is based on a webtoon, titled "Drinking City Maidens."
Previously, Apink's Jung Eun Ji, actors Han Seon Hwa, and Lee Seon Bin were being considered for the female lead role.
This will be Siwon's first drama role after almost two years following his 2019 series "My Fellow Citizens." He will be making a big comeback on the K-drama scene after years of focusing on music with his fellow Super Junior members and as an active Unicef ambassador.
An official from a broadcasting station shared, "Siwon's charming persona perfectly fits for the drama role that was given to him. Since this work needs great interest from pre-production to post production, this will be an important turning point for Choi Siwon to establish himself as an actor."
