Girls' Generation's Tiffany will reportedly work alongside Song Joong Ki in the highly anticipated drama "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate."
In a report cited by SPOTV, an official from JTBC revealed that the K-pop superstar has been courted as one of the cast members of the upcoming revenge drama.
If the 31-year-old singer, whose real name is Tiffany Young, would accept the offer, this will be her first major acting role in a series.
Interestingly, a rumor sparked that she is set to take the character of the chaebol family's Korean-American daughter.
Aside from Girls' Generation's Tiffany and Song Joong Ki, "Hospital Playlist" actress Shin Hyun Bin is in talks to portrayal female lead star Seo Min Young together with Lee Sung Min as Yoon Hyun Woo.
This was also confirmed by her agency, Yooborn Company and shared that the actress was courted to star in the much-awaited drama.
"She has received a casting offer for the drama "Chaebol Family's Youngest Son" and is currently reviewing [the offer]."

JTBC's forthcoming drama is based on the popular webtoon of the same name and will be helmed by "I am Not A Robot" and "W" director Jeong Dae Yun alongside screenwriter Kim Tae Hee, whose famous works includes the 2010 drama "Sungkyunkwan Scandal."
"The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" follows the story of Jin Do Joon, played by Song Joong Ki, who is working for a chaebol family for over ten years.
Despite his decade-long service and loyalty, he was framed up by the wealthy family for embezzlement and ended up murdering him.
Interestingly, he was reincarnated as the youngest son of the chaebol family and plans on using this as his revenge.
Prior to the casting, Bae Suzy is rumored to be the lead star opposite Song Joong Ki.
It came after multiple reports hinted that the "Start-Up" actress had been offered to be the female lead; however, amid the rumor, Suzy's agency Management SOOP has not addressed the issue.
Girls' Generation's Tiffany Stars in Musical "Chicago"
With her upcoming drama, there's no denying that the KPop star would surely ace her role in the forthcoming JTBC series given that she has flaunted her impressive acting skills in the Korean adaptation of the popular musical "Chicago."
The Girl's Generation member portrayed the role of a nightclub performer named Roxie Hart, whose life turn upside down after she was accused of murder.
In a report cited by NME, Tiffany Young managed to beat thousands of auditionees with her undeniable charm and talent.
At the time, a representative from the musical production revealed that they were impressed by the Girl's Generation member's "passion and effort for the role," adding, "She went through a very competitive audition just like any other applicants, without getting any preferential treatment."
