Known for his humble personality and humorous ad-libs, tv personality Yoo Jae Suk sat down for an interview with the famous broadcasting company JTBC to look back on his career and life behind the glamorous entertainment industry.
Yoo Jae Suk Shares His Career and Life Stories with JTBC
Yoo Jae Suk may be active in various tv shows but he rarely gives interviews with the media. Being in the spotlight for almost 30 years, Yoo Jae Suk was already dubbed as the "Nation's MC."But this time he was the one to be interviewed with, opposite to his everyday role in variety shows.
The "Running Man" host confessed why he doesn't often do solo interviews, "It's not that I won't do them but knowing that there are lots of media outlets here, then I would have to do them all." He added that if he did various interviews consecutively, it would turn out as a monthly event.
Yoo Jae Suk also shared that the show "Infinite Challenge" has given him lots of good memories and when the program finally ended, he thought if he could still do another variety show like "Infinite Challenge" since it became an important program in his life.
"I am not afraid to fail" - Yoo Jae Suk
With all his achievements in life, Yoo Jae Suk was asked if he did not fear failure. And he bravely answered, "I don't have a personal fear of failure. I am not afraid to fail. But the hardest part of failure is that if I fail, there are people who will struggle more when they see me fail." He continued saying that it is not that he doesn't feel any fears, but as he kept on working every day, his fear started to disappear.
When talking about the long-running variety show "Running Man," Yoo Jae Suk confessed that if they didn't receive the sponsorship in Thailand years ago, the program might finally have ended already. He revealed that all the "Running Man" cast and production team were surprised when they arrived at the airport in Thailand because there were lots of fans gathered outside as if they were hallyu superstars.

"Running Man" Team Misses Lee Kwang Soo's Presence on Set
Meanwhile, after the original cast member Lee Kwang Soo stepped down from "Running Man," Yoo Jae Suk confessed that the "Running Man" team misses Kwang Soo on set. According to him, "When we film for the upcoming episodes, we still talk about Kwang Soo a lot. We can't fill the space that he left all at once. We don't even know if his spot will be replaced, but we are going to keep doing our best for now."
Yoo Jae Suk as a Loving Father
Far from the glitz and glamour, Yoo Jae Suk talked about his life as a husband and a father. He was married to Na Kyung Eun in 2008 and had two children.
The "How Do You Play?" host shared that with his busy schedule, he always finds ways to spend time with his kids. His daughter Na Eun is said to be the sweetest, for she always wants to be with him. Even his wife observed that every time Yoo Jae Suk is with Na Eun, he genuinely smiles the whole time he is with her.
When talking about his son, Ji Ho, Yoo Jae Suk said that they have similar personalities. Since he is in the entertainment industry, Ji Ho sometimes asked him about things related to his work not because Ji Ho is curious but because his friends asked about it.
