Following the COVID-19 scare on the set of the upcoming K-movie "Hunt," Ju Ji Hoon's agency revealed that the actor tested negative from the virus.

H& Entertainment recently revealed to YTN Star that the "Kingdom" actor underwent the COVID-19 test as a preemptive measure and fortunately got negative results.

Despite the test, the agency added that the A-lister is currently restraining himself from outside activities.

"Ju Ji Hoon went to Busan to film his special appearance for the movie 'Hunt' and kept his distance from the confirmed staff member while filming. As a preemptive measure, he took a COVID-19 test and received a negative result today," the agency explained.

The 39-year-old South Korean star is set to make a cameo for the much-awaited movie alongside lead stars Lee Jung Jae, Jung Woo Sung, Jeon Hye Jin, and more.

Unfortunately, in the middle of their filming session, one staff member tested positive for the deadly virus.

With this, the production had to be delayed and required the whole team to undergo COVID-19 testing.

Apart from the staff, the production company that oversees "Hunt"--Sanai Pictures CEO Han Jae Duk has also been diagnosed with COVID-19 despite not visiting the site.

Due to the rise of positive cases, an official from the movie shared that the scheduled release date might be affected because of the pandemic.

"The future filming schedule has not been confirmed yet."

"Hunt" has been making rounds of buzz on social media because of its lineup of powerhouse cast.

The soon-to-be-released K-movie is helmed by the renowned actor Lee Jung Jae, who is also the film's lead cast.

Interestingly, this will be his directorial debut after going through a four-year screenwriting process.

Upcoming K-Movies Halts Filming Due to COVID-19 Scare

Aside from "Hunt," several upcoming shows and movies announced that they halted production due to the ongoing health crisis.

Just recently, the Korean remake of "Money Heist" postponed its filming after one cast came in close contact with a COVID-19 positive.

The same goes for Song Joong Ki's upcoming film "Bogota" after the actor was classified as close contact from someone who tested positive for the virus.

Fortunately, the "Vincenzo" star tested negative but opted to self-isolate.

"Although he tested negative, he was classified as close contact and was ordered to go into self-quarantine. Therefore, we will halt all his scheduled activities and follow the instructions of the disease prevention authorities, Song Jong Ki's agency History D &C revealed.
