Kwak Dong Yeon in talks to make a drama comeback with Strange and star as the lead actor.
Kwak Dong Yeon to Possibly Portray the Role of an Archaeologist
Various media outlets have released reports revealing that Kwak Dong Yeon was recently cast to lead the forthcoming series Strange.
On the same day, July 14, Kwak Dong Yeon's agency H&Entertainment released their official statement confirming the offer. According to them, "Yes, it is true that actor Kwak Dong Yeon has received a cast offer from the production team of 'Strange.' And he is positively reviewing the project."

Strange to Have a Creative and Compelling Production Team
Strange tells the story of an archaeologist who solves an outlandish case. In addition, this upcoming series marks Yeon Sang Ho's new work, he is the man behind the hit films Peninsula and Train to Busan. He is also the one who penned the script for the drama Method.
Previously, actor Goo Kyo Hwan of D.P is also in discussion to be part of the cast.
Meanwhile, from directing the new series, Yeon Sang Ho will also co-write the script for Strange alongside writer Ryu Yong Jae, who wrote the My Holo Love script. Ryu Yong Jae is also expected to do the manuscript for the Korean remake of Money Heist.
Award winning director Jang Kun Jae will helm TVING original series, Strange. Jang Kun Jae has an impressive directing background for he recently won the DGK Award at the Busan International Film Festival and the FIPRESCI Award at the Korean Association of Film Critics Awards with his film masterpiece A Midsummer's Fantasia.
Climax studio, which produced the Netflix originals Hell and D.P is also in charge of producing the forthcoming drama Strange and will be released through TVING.
If Kwak Dong Yeon accepts the cast offer, this will be his next drama project following the record-breaking series Vincenzo. But this time, Kwak Dong Yeon is already expected to play the lead role of an archaeologist.
A character that he has never done before from his previous drama and movie projects.
On the other hand, Kwak Dong Yeon is also preparing for his silver screen comeback with 6/45. He is currently busy filming the movie alongside its star-studded cast, including Go Kyung Pyo, Lee Yi Kyung, Park Se Wan, and Eum Moon Suk.
Kwak Dong Yeon is also in talks to star in a new series The Hunting Dogs together with Youth of May actor Lee Do Hyun.
