Kim Min Gwi's agency Big Picture Entertainment set the record straight regarding the controversy surrounding the "Nevertheless" star.
In an official statement, the management apologized for the "negative issues" that involve their artists, as well as their delayed position, given that they have to "check the facts first."
Moreover, the agency explained that the 26-year-old actor "acknowledges" the past mistakes in terms of his personal life.
"He feels sincerely apologetic toward the other person whom he hurt with his immature actions and judgments, and he is in deep self-reflection. He also apologizes for causing public concern with this issue," Kim Min Gwi's agency cited.
Kim Min Gwi's Stood By the Actor Regarding Health Restrictions
As for the controversy regarding the health issue, Big Picture Entertainment denied that the rookie actor broke the protocols and violated COVID-19 restrictions.
With this, the management explained that Kim Min Gwi self-isolated and completed his treatment upon getting positive results.
"On May 22, he was informed that he was a close contact, and he went into self-quarantine at his home. During his self-quarantine, he felt signs of symptoms and got tested and received a positive result. He went to receive treatment and is currently fully recovered."
The controversy came to light after an alleged ex-girlfriend exposed the actor and accused him of cheating.
In an online post titled "The true nature of an actor from the drama 'N_v_rth_l_ss' is revealed," he described a celebrity as a "selfish, non-human, bad piece of trash."
Although the post did not drop the name of the celebrity, several netizens think that it is the "Nevertheless" star since the post claims that the actor has a current drama and recently tested positive from COVID-19.
In addition, the online post cited that the actor is verbally abusive, engages himself in one-night stands, and "cheated on them with several women."
Following this expose, Kim Min Gwi's agency released a statement saying that they will undergo fact-checking to see if the claims are valid.

Kim Min Gwi in K-drama "Nevertheless"
The 26-year-old rookie actor has been getting the viewers' attention due to his role in the JTBC K-drama "Nevertheless," alongside Han So Hee and Song Kang.
In the Saturday night series, Kim MIn Gwi plays Nam Kyu Hyun, an art student who has hidden feelings for his friend, Oh Bit Na, portrayed by Yang Hye Ji.
As the romance drama reached half of the series, Nam Kyu Hyun and Yang Hye Ji's closeness turned into a real relationship.
However, in the latest "Nevertheless" episode, it hints that he is confused with Yang Hye Ji after discovering that she is still on dating apps.
Kim Min Gwi's Cameo in Netflix's "Kingdom: Ashin of the North"
Apart from his impressive portrayal in the JTBC drama, Kim MIn Gwi also appeared in Jun Ji Hyun's "Kingdom: Ashin of the North."
In the much-awaited spin-off, the rookie actor played the role of a Pajeowi soldier.
