Kim Min Gwi's appearance in his current K-drama "Nevertheless" alongside Song Kang and Han So Hee has been affected by the controversy surrounding his personal life.
According to Star News, a representative from JTBC revealed that scenes showing the 26-year-old star would be reduced in the following episodes.
This surprising move is due to the cheating allegations accused by his alleged ex-girlfriend.
"Kim Min Gwi's role will be reduced starting this week's broadcast (July 31st). We will also edit his scenes as much as possible," the statement reads as obtained by the outlet.
Earlier this week, the rookie actor has been tangled in a string of issues after the actor's former girlfriend shared an intriguing online post.
Titled "The true nature of an actor from the drama 'N_v_rth_l_ss' is revealed," it claimed that he cheated on her several times; this includes going in one-night stands and even accused him of verbal abuse.
Moreover, the author of the post even described the actor as a "selfish, non-human, bad piece of trash."
What made fans think that the post pertains to Kim Min Gwi is that it hints that the celebrity has recently been diagnosed with COVID-19.
To recall, the former model turned actor was tested positive for the virus, which required him to undergo self-isolation.
Surprisingly, the online post claims that he broke quarantine protocols and sneaked out at dawn to meet someone.

As for the health issues, the management stood by the "Nevertheless" star's side and pointed out that the allegations were false, adding that he did not break the quarantine period until his tests came negative.

Moreover, he also expressed regrets "for not being more proactive in responding" towards the issue that it "became more controversial during these sensitive and difficult times."
The 26-year-old newcomer has been getting the viewers' attention and social media due to his role as the art student Nam Kyu Hyun in K-drama "Nevertheless."
