The new KBS coming-of-age romantic comedy series "Police University" starring Cha Tae Hyun, Jinyoung, and Krystal recently aired its much-awaited fifth episode.
Interestingly, the latest episode highlights not only Krystal and Jinyoung's budding romance but also Cha Tae Hyun's melancholic past.
Yoo Dong Man and Kang Seon Ho's Investigation Begins
In the previous episode, Yoo Dong Man, played by actor Cha Tae Hyun, desperately asked Kang Seon Ho, played by B1A4 member Jinyoung, for his help to catch the culprit who harmed his subordinate detective.
With this, Kang Seon Ho deliberately decided to lend his hacking skills to the poor professor in order to find the criminals. Since Yoo Dong Man is an experienced detective, Kang Seon Ho thought that he would be a huge help to him to expand his knowledge and experience as an aspiring police officer.
Law professor Kwon Hyuk Pil, played by actor Lee Jong Hyuk, becomes the duo's prime suspect. Luckily, the law professor cooperated with them whole-heartedly.

Despite their endless suspicions, the duo found out that law professor Kwon Hyuk Pil is innocent. Yoo Dong Man, who is ashamed of himself and his rash decisions, asked for the law professor's forgiveness.
In order to forgive the detective, Kwon Hyuk Pil challenged Yoo Dong Man into a man-to-man Judo fight, under Judo professor Choi Hee Soo's, played by actress Hong Soo Hyun, supervision.
A Glimpse of Yoo Dong Man's Tragic Past
In spite of his rash decision-making and quite questionable behavior, Yoo Dong Man is sensitive and kind-hearted. In episode one, he let Kang Seon Ho and his brother off the hook after their father Yoon Taek Il, played by Oh Man Seok, asked for forgiveness on behalf of his sons.
Episode five highlights the tragic past of Yoo Dong Man, which urged him to do his best in catching the illegal gambling criminals.
As his team goes after the online gamblers, his subordinate Kim Eun Ju dies in an unexpected accident.
It was then revealed that the late sergeant Kim Eun Ju is his fiancee and bride-to-be, whom he will marry right after they closed the online gambling case.

Oh Kang Hee and Kang Seon Ho Share a Romantic Moment
After Oh Kang Hee's roommate Min Jae Kyung, played by f(x) member and actress Park Seun Yeon respectively, tells her how she is starting to see Kang Seon Ho in a romantic light, the more Oh Kang Hee realizes that her roommate was right.

The career guidance was a success and the students, along with professors Yoo Dong Man, Kwon Hyuk Pil, and Choi Hee Soo, drank soju in the nearest pub to celebrate.
Kang Seon Ho, who has a low alcohol tolerance, was so drunk that he could barely walk. Oh Kang Hee lent her support as they went back to the university, careful enough not to get caught.
But drunk Kang Seon Ho isn't able to keep his mouth closed, making drunk noises which alerted the university's guidance counselor Baek Hee, played by actress Seo Ye Hwa.
Feeling helpless, Oh Kang Hee closes the gap between their lips to keep Kang Seon Ho.
'Police University' Sees a Slight Dip in Viewership Ratings
The fifth episode of the much-loved rom-com series "Police University" recorded a slight drop in viewership ratings with 6.9%.
The Monday-Tuesday drama started with a rating of 5.2% and continued to record a personal best for its four consecutive episodes, with its personal best of 8.5% in the previous episode.

Though there was a slight 1.6% decrease from the previous episode, "Police University" remains the highest-rated drama among the Monday-Tuesday dramas in South Korean television.
