"The Sixth Sense 2" has a surprise treat to its viewers as the mystery-comedy variety show will be extended for two episodes.

The news was confirmed by tvN, stating that the Friday program will have an extension.

'The Sixth Sense 2' Extended Due to the Public's Demand

This is due to the positive and overwhelming response from the public since 2020.

According to a local media outlet, a representative from the broadcasting network cited that "The Sixth Sense 2" will now have a total of 14 episodes.

"'The Sixth Sense 2', which was originally scheduled for 12 episodes, has been extended with two episodes thanks to the enthusiastic support of the viewers. A total of 14 episodes will finish season 2 on September 24," a tvN official explained.

With this, fans expressed their love and excitement regarding the latest update.

Meanwhile, others lauded how the show deserved more attention and support from the viewers.

According to Nielsen Korea, it showed that the August 20 episode garnered an averaged nationwide of 4.7 percent and 5.6 percent in metropolitan areas, making it the number show during its time slot and channels, including cable and full-length dramas.

There's no denying that the tvN variety show has been gaining the attention of fans since it first aired in September 2020.
