Gong Myung, who diversified his roles by appearing in various popular dramas "Be Melodramatic," "Revolutionary Love," and "The Bride of Habaek," is about to come back to the small screen after appearing in the 2020 drama special "Recipe for Happiness."
He will be starring in the SBS' highly awaited historical fantasy romance drama "Lovers of the Red Sky" (also known as "Red Sky" or "Hong Chun Gi") alongside seasoned actors Kim Yoo Jung, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Kwak Si Yang.

The 28-year-old will grace the small screen as Prince Yang Myung, who is enticed by arts, romance, poetry, and beauty in the forthcoming historical drama "Lovers of the Red Sky."
Actor Gong Myung raised prospective viewers' anticipation after catching their eyes with a clever and refreshing appearance and performance in the preview that was released prior to its premiere.
Gong Myung shared his thoughts about his role, "He expresses his emotions quite well and he possesses excellent artistic skills. Yang Myung is good at poetry, calligraphy, and painting. In order to portray that part of him, I learned painting and calligraphy myself before filming."
"Though he appears bright and cheerful, Yang Myung is also charismatic, and he has a deep wound inside his heart," he adds with a smile.
He also shared his work experience with his co-stars Kim Yoo Jung and Ahn Hyo Seop, who will play Hong Chun Gi and Ha Ram respectively.
According to the "Entertainer" star, Kim Yoo Jung is "the driving force that allowed him to do the drama without hesitation."
He also shared, "We worked well together and we are very much comfortable with each other. Please look forward to Hong Chun Gi and Yang Myung's chemistry."

'Lovers of the Red Sky' Production and Release Date
"Lovers of the Red Sky" is the new Monday and Tuesday drama in South Korean television produced by broadcasting company SBS, and helmed by "My Love from the Star" director Jang Tae Yu and written by screenwriter Ha Eun.
It was based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Jung Eun Gwol, the author who also wrote the worldwide phenomena "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" and "The Moon Embracing the Sun."

"Lovers of the Red Sky" is slated to premiere on August 30 on SBS at 10:00 p.m. KST.
