Yumi's Cells Episode 1 & Episode 2 Highlights

The webtoon-based drama started with a decent viewership rating, garnering a nationwide rating of 2.1 percent during its debut.

It was followed by a slight increase with a total nationwide rating of 2.3 percent for Yumi's Cells episode 2.

In the drama, viewers got to see Yumi's everyday life from her busy schedule at the office and her down time moments at home.

However, things changed when Ugi, played by SHINee's Minho, showed affection to her.

The first episode highlighted a possible romance between the two. Unfortunately, the situation escalated when Ruby (Lee Yoo Bi) came into the picture.

On the other hand, the second episode revealed Ugi's true intention towards Yumi.

Although the Sepho village celebrated Yumi's first date in three years, it appears that all Ugi wanted was to set her up on a blind date to one of his friends, which totally devastated Yumi.

Interestingly, Yumi's Cells episode 2 introduces Goo Woong, who happens to be her blind date; unfortunately, he is the total opposite of Ugi.

He arrived at their meet-up place looking super casual, wearing red shorts, a t-shirt, and slippers.

The cells at the Sepho village find it very unattractive and think that he is rude for not putting an effort to meet Yumi.

However, Goo Woong was stunned by her beauty, making him speechless throughout their date's first half.

As for Yumi, she felt that the situation was awkward, and what's worse is that Goo Woong kept throwing in corny dad jokes.

Yumi's Cells episode 4 is scheduled to air on September 24 exclusively on tvN.
