Kdrama's good boy escaped the massive cancel culture through the "Kim Seon Ho effect" by setting an impact on brands--one of which is the online shopping site 11Street.
At the height of the abortion and gaslighting controversy, several brands featuring the "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" star took down their campaigns and ads--this is mainly because the public is sensitive when it comes to the ambassador's image.

On October 28, the mask brand MIIMA was the first to put up their advertisements showing off the actor.
It was followed by 11Street, posting a video of the "Start-Up" star over their official YouTube channel, highlighting their discount event dubbed as "The 10th Festival."

11Street Addressed Backlash After Bringing Back Kim Seon Ho as their Endorser
As mentioned, the public is sensitive towards one celebrity's image, hence the intense cancellation culture and boycott activities in South Korea.
After the e-commerce company revived and posted Kim Seon Ho's ads, the company received several complaints questioning their decision of reinstating him as their muse.
Through their customer service, 11Street began by acknowledging the opinions of their clients.
However, the company explained why they chose to stand by the actor and praised him for "diligently fulfilling his duties."
With this, they further elaborate as to why they continued to reinstate the actor; one of the main reasons is Kim Seon Ho's public apology.
"On October 10, Kim Seon Ho made an official apology, and afterward, the other party had accepted it as well, so 11Street decided to reinstate him as a model. Before things heated up in October, we had already filmed the advertisement for the November Festival, which went on air from 11 am on November 1," the brand explained.
Lastly, 11Street seeks "kind understanding" and thanked the consumers for sending "sincere opinions."
