"Young Lady and Gentleman," starring Lee Se Hee and Ji Hyun Woo, postponed its production because of COVID-19.

Released on September 25, the 50-part episode Kdrama follows the story of a widower named Lee Young Kook, who has three adorable children and his journey with a newfound love through his kids' tutor, Park Dan Dan.

'Young Lady and Gentleman' Halts Filming

According to OSEN, a shoot was scheduled for the morning of November 16 but had to stop the filming session after a staff member tested positive from the virus.

Due to this, all actors and crew had to undergo COVID-19 testing as part of the health protocols stating that they had to take precautionary measures to prevent the virus from spreading.

"Young Lady and Gentleman" is the recent Kdrama that announced its postponement after a member was confirmed to have tested positive from the virus.

To recall, another KBS series, "The King's Affection," had to halt its production due to a COVID-19 scare.

According to an outlet, one of the extras acquired the virus and tested positive on July 26, which prompted the team to delay its filming.

In addition, "all the production crew members, the actors, and their agency staff members were tested for COVID-19. Filming has been paused, and we will follow the instructions of the disease control authorities," as mentioned by an outlet.

As for the "Young Lady and Gentleman," it is safe to say that the whole team is waiting for the result of the test before they resume production.

'Young Lady and Gentleman' Gains Positive Response through High Viewership Rating

Despite a minor setback, the rom-com series is receiving an overwhelming response from the public, as seen on their increasing rating.

According to Nielsen Korea, the "Young Lady and Gentleman" November 14 episode hit an all-time high in terms of viewership rating after garnering 32.4 percent nationwide rating.

The series' new achievement sets a new personal rating record to date.

In addition, Lee Se Hee and Ji Hyun Woo's Kdrama sustain the title of being the most-watched program for its time slot across all channels for the entire weekend.

Not only that, the "Young Lady and Gentleman" hailed fourth in the recent weekly rankings for most buzzworthy drama--this is based on Good Data Corporation's chart from November 7 to 13.

Meanwhile, Ji Hyun Woo ranked fifth in the most buzzworthy actor listing while Lee Se Hee made it to the top nine.

In the KBS rom-com Kdrama, the 29-year-old South Korean beauty took on the character of Park Dan Dan, a young woman who was hired by the widower Lee Young Kook, played by Ji Hyun Woo as a live-in tutor for his three kids.

Interestingly, he falls in love with Dan Dan's beauty and cannot resist her charm.
