Netflix unveiled another round of enticing still cuts for the upcoming series "The Silent Sea" featuring Gong Yoo, Bae Doona, Lee Joon and more.
The streaming giant continues to show the viewers a glimpse of the much-awaited sci-fi Kdrama together with the star-studded cast.
'The Silent Sea' Teasers
In a series of still cuts released by Netflix, the elite space team are on survival mode as they try to get through and endure the "mysterious incidents" in outer space. Both Bae Doona and Gong Yoo wore full spacesuits during an emergency landing on the moon.
In the upcoming sci-fi series, the "Train to Busan" star took on the role of Han Yoon Jae, the space crew's team leader who is set off on a special mission while the award-winning actress is astrobiologist Song Ji Ahn.
In another still cut, it showcases the preparation before their mission to the moon and the challenges after their take-off.
The teaser also hints at how the space crew struggles to survive in space.

"Mysterious incidents encountered at the abandoned moon base," the caption reads.
"The Silent Sea" release date is scheduled on December 24 with a total of eight episodes, to premiere exclusively on Netflix.

Apart from the duo, lead stars also include Lee Joon as Ryu Tae Seok, the team's senior engineer.
The upcoming series will be the actor's comeback drama after starring in the 2017 "My Father is Strange."
He will also have a back-to-back series "Bulgasal: Immortal Souls" airing in December.
On the other hand, joining the elite space crew is the "Crash Landing on You" actress Kim Sun Young, who took on the role of team doctor Hong Ga Young.
Meanwhile, Lee Moo Saeng will be the head of security Gong Soo Hyuk and Lee Sung Wook will play the spaceship pilot Kim Sun.
In addition, Gong Yoo will also be reunited with his "Squid Game" co-star Heo Sung Tae, who took on the character of Kim Jae Sun, the Republic of Korea's Space Aviation Administration's resource team leader and will be working alongside Han Yoon Jae and Song Ji Ahn.
To recall, the Hallyu star had a brief cameo in the record-breaking Netflix series, while Heo Sung Tae portrayed the villain player no. 101 Jang Deok Soo.
Recently, the streaming giant released stunning character posters featuring the cast of "The Silent Sea" in their spacesuits.
Jung Woo Sung Talks About Producing The Silent Sea'
Aside from its stellar cast lineup, director and screenwriter, the Netflix series is also produced by the award-winning actor Jung Woo Sung.
In an event, he spoke about what prompted him to produce "The Silent Sea."
He revealed that he was stunned by the storyline of "The Sea of Tranquility," which was where the upcoming series was based.
"I loved the idea, so I wanted to make a longer version, and I started to take on the challenge without fear. I've ended up producing it after coming together with this amazing cast," he said.
