Jun Ji Hyun shared her thoughts regarding the triumphant "Jirisan" finale and revealed what she'd miss about the tvN Kdrama.

Helmed by the "Descendants of the Sun" and "Sweet Home" director Lee Eung Bok and penned by the "Kingdom" screenwriter Kim Eun Hee, the mystery thriller series got the viewers hooked with the unexpected twists and turns of the story.

According to Nielsen Korea, "Jirisan" episode 16 concluded with a nationwide rating of 9.2 percent, slightly higher than episode 15 with a 7.6 percent rating.

Despite the boost in viewership, Jun Ji Hyun and Ju Ji Hoon's Kdrama failed to surpass its recorded personal best of 10.6 percent, seen in the second episode.

The tvN Kdrama is a reunion project with screenwriter Kim Eun Hee and Jun Ji Hyun since she worked with them in the hit zombie Kdrama "Kingdom."

"Jirisan" is also her next series after starring in the "Kingdom" spinoff.

As the Hallyu star bid her goodbye, she expressed her deep gratitude to her co-stars, the staff and of course, the fans who had been with them and their journey in Jirisan for two months.

"I want to express my gratitude to the many staff and viewers. I think it will be a work that will be remembered for a long time," she said.

Moreover, the actress shared a glimpse of their life on set, revealing that filming "Jirisan" remains "enjoyable despite the difficulties."

"We had a long journey together, from seeing the greenery of Mt. It was a difficult but enjoyable time, and a lot of memories were accumulated," she added.

In the Kdrama, Jun Ji Hyun took on the role of senior park ranger Seo Yi Kang who developed a love for the mountain and a passion for saving people.

Apart from the spectacular visuals with the drama's cinematography, the viewers also saw the chemistry of the actress and Ju Ji Hoon, who played the rookie ranger, Kang Hyun Jo.

Interestingly, the finale episode revealed the real culprit, Kim Sol, portrayed by Lee Ga Sub and the devastating story of his past.

The nail-biting "Jirisan" finale learned more about the mountain's serial killer and witnessed the dramatic reunion between Seo Yi Kang and Kang Hyun Jo.

In an interview, Lee Ga Sub shared through his agency, Saram Entertainment, how it's like working with the biggest names in show business.

Like the Hallyu star, he also mentioned that shooting the Kdrama was "difficult," especially in terms of acting.

Fortunately, he was surrounded by senior actors and thanked them for their guidance.

"There were some difficult parts while acting, but I thought, 'The character Kim Sol was more alive because the seniors were so good," he explained.

Now that "Jirisan" is finally over, Lee Ga Sub felt saddened but at the same time happy that he was able to work with such great actors.

"It's a shame because it feels like it's over when I say it's over. It was a moment I was really grateful to be able to work with such wonderful seniors."

The 29-year-old actor also appeared in series such as "Zombie Detective" and Strangers 2."
