After months of discussion, Lee Sang Yeob confirms his appearance in "Eve's Scandal," joining Seo Ye Ji as the lead star.
According to Osen, the "On the Verge of Insanity" is returning to the small screen and is set to be the leading man of the South Korean actress for her Kdrama comeback.
Confirmed! Lee Sang Yeob to Star with Seo Ye Ji in 'Eve's Scandal'
In the upcoming tvN series, the 38-year-old actor will take on the character of Seo Eun Pyung. He will act as the human rights lawyer who is willing to give up everything for Lee Ra El, played by Seo Ye Ji.
Unlike Lee Ra El, he grew up in an orphanage but managed to be successful and achieve absolute power as he watched the innocent family Ra El being trampled on. His new role stimulates the viewers' curiosity on overcoming his past and settling into a new life of success with Lee Ra El by his side.

Penned by "The Good Witch" and "Birth of the Beauty" screenwriter Yoon Young Mi, "Eve's Scandal" follows the story of a couple dealing with a 2 trillion KRW or approximately 1.7 billion USD divorce lawsuit that stunned the whole nation.
Apart from Seo Ye Ji and Lee Sang Yeob, "Eve's Scandal" cast includes Park Byung Eun, who portrays a financial conglomerate's CEO.
Joining the cast is Yoo Sun as Han So Ra, the daughter of the influential politician Han Pan Ro.
Following the confirmation of the cast, tvN has not confirmed the release date; however, "Eve's Scandal" is set to debut in the first half of 2022.
Lee Sang Yeob to Star in 'Sixth Sense' Season 3
The upcoming romance drama is Lee Sang Yeob's next project after starring in MBC's "On the Verge of Insanity" with Moon So Ri, Kim Ga Eun, Jung Jae Young and more. He took on the role of development team leader named Han Se Kwon.
During the series finale, the actor expressed his gratitude towards the cast, crew and the viewers who showed their support for the Kdrama. He said it was an honor to work with the whole team and "spent half a year together in Changwon.
"We filmed amid difficult times and situations, but I was able to stay strong because my co-workers were always energetic. I hope that we can meet again soon. Thank you," he said.
In addition, Lee Sang Yeob also left a message for the viewers noting that they managed to come up with a good ending, all thanks to their "support and love."
"I enjoyed acting amidst everyone's sincere interest and criticism. Thank you for watching the annoying Han Se Kwon with affection 'til the end."
Aside from his upcoming Kdrama, Lee Sang Yeob is set to appear in the third season of comedy variety show "Sixth Sense" alongside fellow hosts Oh Na Ra, Yoo Jae Suk, Jessi, Jeon So Min and Lovelyz's Mijoo.
