According to Spotify News, the "Itaewon Class" star got infected despite receiving full vaccines and booster shots.

The news was also confirmed by Park Seo Joon's agency Awesome ENT saying that the actor "has been testing the self-diagnosis kit as a preemptive measure before moving to all filming sites."
As a precautionary measure, the talent management also mentioned that the South Korean heartthrob's schedule and upcoming activities "was suspended" as he needed to "take the necessary measures for self-quarantine and treatment in accordance with quarantine guidelines."
After successfully completing the quarantine period and showing no signs of symptoms, he will be released anytime soon, as noted by media outlets.
Aside from Park Seo Joon, some members of the "Sixth Sense 3" cast tested positive for the virus, which prompted the show to delay its premiere.
To recall, it was initially scheduled to broadcast on March 11 but was pushed through on March 18 due to health issues.
According to reports, Jessi, Lee Mi Joo and "The Verge of Sanity" star Lee Sang Yeob all tested positive from COVID-19 and are currently under quarantine.
On the other hand, award-winning actor Lee Byung Hun announced that he just got out from his two-week quarantine after experiencing the same as Park Seo Joon and the "Sixth Sense 3" cast.

The 33-year-old star is set to appear in multiple projects this year. In addition, he is also set to join the cast of "The Marvels."
In September 2021, his agency confirmed the surprising news, thanking fans for their support towards the actor as he takes on a "new challenge," referring to the project with Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
