Seo Ye Ji's Public Apology Letter Concerning Past Relationship Controversy with Kim Jung Hyun
On February 27, Seo Ye Ji surprised the public with her apology statement regarding controversy over her past relationship with actor Kim Jung Hyun.
In 2021, the actress was embroiled in an issue after a famous Korean outlet published a report that included text messages between the "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" actress and the "Mr. Queen" star.
The news report showed that Seo Ye Ji manipulated Kim Jung Hyun and ordered him to request for a script of his drama "Time," where he worked with "Love and Leashes" actress and SNSD member Seohyun, Ye Ji wanted to remove physical contact between the two main leads.

Her agency Gold Medalist already responded to the issue before, but the "Lawless Lawyer" star did not personally address the controversy. Since then, Seo Ye Ji's chose to keep mum about the issue. She also stepped down from her supposed character in "Island," in which she is supposed to team up with Kim Nam Gil.
Seo Ye Ji Reflects on Her Previous Actions
It's been exactly ten months after the actress released a formal apology letter.
According to the celebrity, "I sincerely apologize for the fact that I am conveying my feelings late through these written words. Seeing all of the disappointments and things that have been said about me, I have taken time to reflect on myself until now."
She continued, "I would like to sincerely apologize for making many people including my fans uncomfortable because of the past issue. Sorry for disappointing you with my shortcomings. I will work hard and be more careful in the future and show you a better version of myself."
Seo Ye Ji to Make Drama Comeback with 'Eve'
On the other hand, after her hiatus, Seo Ye Ji is finally making her return on the small screen with the revenge drama "Eve." Her new series is slated to premiere this year. Joining her in the project are Lee Sang Yeob, Park Byung Eun, and Yoo Sun.
In addition, they already had their first table reading and some of their photos were published by multiple media outlets.
Romance-revenge drama "Eve" deals with the story of a chaebol's two trillion won divorce lawsuit that shocks the whole nation. This marks Seo Ye Ji's first drama in 2022 following her fantasy-romance series "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" in 2020.
