MBC releases new character posters featuring lead stars Kim Hee Sun, Lee Soo Hyuk, SF9's Rowoon and Yoon Ji On for the upcoming K-drama "Tomorrow."

Directed by Kim Tae Yoon, the person behind the 2017 movie "New Trial" and "Proof of Existence," the soon-to-be-released action-fantasy series follows the story of Choi Joon Woong, portrayed by the singer-actor and his encounter with a group of grim reapers.

Ahead of its much-awaited release date, the broadcast network introduces the lead stars through a series of intriguing character posters.

In the upcoming series, Kim Hee Sun took on the role of Goo Ryun, powerful grim reaper Goo Ryun.

Her fierce looks and personality made her an effective Crisis Management Team leader.

Working for Joomadeung, or the spirit management headquarters of the afterlife monopoly, the head grim reaper will be joined by its newest member, Choi Joon Woong, played by SF9's Rowoon.

Meanwhile, Lee Soo Hyuk transforms into Guiding Management Team's elite head Park Joong Gil.

Lastly, joining the team is Yoon Ji On, who portrays the energetic and comic grim reaper Lim Ryoong Goo, who is set to bring fun and excitement to the team.

Moreover, while the bosses make sure that every grim reaper does its duties, Ryoong Goo prioritizes work-life balance and clock out exactly after eight hours shift.

'Tomorrow' Release Date and Supporting Characters

Based on the webtoon of the same name, "Tomorrow" is gaining the viewers' attention due to its stellar cast lineup.

Apart from the four lead stars, cast members include Kim Chae Eun, rookie actress Moon Seo Young, "Me and My Grantopia" star Kim Nu Ri and veteran actress Kim Hae Sook.

Former child actress and "Miracle in Cell No. &" star Gal So Won will also make a cameo as the young Kim Hee Sun.

Interestingly, the broadcast network announced that the official release date of "Tomorrow" is set on March 25, airing every Friday and Saturday via MBC and Netflix.

SF9's Rowoon and Kim Hee Sun on their Characters in 'Tomorrow'

According to a media outlet, SF9 Rowoon spoke about his upcoming Kdrama "Tomorrow" and why he chose this as his next project.

The singer-actor revealed that he "liked the message that the drama gives," adding that the action-fantasy series has a "meaningful message" that piqued his interest.

MBC's upcoming Kdrama is Rowoon's follow-up project after the blockbuster series "The King's Affection."

When asked if he feels pressure, he says the 25-year-old heartthrob says there's none, biting that the "viewership ratings are something determined by the heavens."

As for his co-star Kim Hee Sun, the reason why she chose the drama is that the storyline "comforts everyone."

In addition, she also hoped that "'Tomorrow' will be a drama that will cheer you up, as if through its existence it's saying 'I'm there for you.'"

The upcoming MBC series is Kim Hee Sun's comeback project after the 2020 Kdrama "Alice."

She is also in talks to headline "Remarriage and Desires" with Lee Hyun Wook.
