Kim Sung Kyu Tests Positive for COVID-19
On March 16, Kim Sung Kyu's agency, Saram Entertainment, announced that the actor is postponing all scheduled activities due to his current health situation.
Saram Entertainment stated that the actor has been diagnosed with COVID-10. On March 15, Kim Sung Kyu took a self-testing kit before the press conference for "The King of Pigs." He attended the event after testing negative.
On the same day, the actor took another self-testing kit which came back positive. The actor immediately went to the hospital to get an antigen which tested negative.
Due to the varying results, Kim Sung Kyu underwent PCR testing for a much more accurate result and tested "positive" despite completing his doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

Currently, the actor is in self-quarantine, receiving proper treatment in accordance with the health guidelines of authorities. In particular, he halted all scheduled activities and promotions for his upcoming drama "The King of Pigs."
Saram Entertainment promises to put their artist's safety and health first, and apologizes for worrying the fans and viewers.

'The King of Pigs' Postpones Upcoming Schedules
On March 15, "The King of Pigs" actors Kim Dong Wook and Chae Jung An both attended the press conference of the drama with Kim Sung Kyu.
Thankfully, the two actors tested negative for COVID-19 according to their agency, KeyEast Entertainment.
However, further activities for "The King of Pigs" have been postponed. A representative from TVING announced that the activities such as Twitter Blueroom, stage greetings and GV have been canceled to prevent catching the virus.

"The King of Pigs" is a thriller drama that depicts the stories of people whose lives get shaken once again as violence and mysterious serial killings begin when a text message from a friend 20 years ago surfaces.
The drama stars Kim Dong Wook as Hwang Kyung Min, a man who lives with the trauma of school violence. Kim Sung Kyung plays the role of detective Jung Jong Suk and Chae Jung An takes on the role of Kang Jin Ah.
It is slated to air on April 18 on TVING.
