It has been said that most of the explosive responses came from Koreans and the Western audience. A Korean who lived in Japan shared an opinion saying that Apple TV+'s "Pachinko" does not receive much attention in their country. He added that most of the people there consumed other OTT platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime.

The 38-year-old person who gave the review explained that although the Japanese have a high interest in K-dramas, "Pachinko" seems to be unpopular because the series is produced by American production.

On the other hand, the interest in the original novel penned by Korean-American writer, Min Jin Lee is quite high.
