#TheBinJinWedding is currently the trending topic on social media as Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin take the final steps for the so-called "wedding of the century"!
While the power couple gears for the highly-anticipated matrimonial ceremony, eagle-eyed fans are curious about the details despite the pair and their agencies being clammed up regarding updates.
Leaked Wedding Invitation of Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin Sparks Social Media Frenzy
Amid the hype of #TheBinJinWedding, a leaked wedding invitation sparked a frenzy on social media. It contained the couple's name written as "Hyun Bin and Yejin," alongside the venue and time of the ceremony. It has a pure white background with gold tones while the names of the couple are engraved in English characters.
Based on the posts circulating on Twitter, the alleged invitation reads "INVITE YOU TO JOIN US TO THE CELEBRATION OF OUR WEDDING. THURSDAY, 31TH MARCH 2022 4 O'CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON. ASTON HOUSE. WALKERHILL HOTELS & RESORTS 1 Achasan-ro, Guri-si, Gyeonggi-do."
While fans believe that it is the actual invitation, other netizens pointed out that it was fake due to some discrepancies.
Over Twitter, users raised speculation that the invitation might be a hoax because instead of writing the A-lister's real name, which is Kim Tae Pyung for Hyun Bin and Son Eon Jin for Son Ye Jin, it states their stage names.
In addition, others also mentioned that the date was grammatically incorrect and should have been "31st" and not "31th."
Hyun Bin's Agency Addresses Leaked Wedding Invitations of BinJin
At the height of the social media frenzy, Hyun Bin's agency, Vast Entertainment, released a statement addressing the alleged fake wedding invitation.
In a report cited by Sports Chosun, the talent label says they couldn't verify "the authenticity of the wedding invitation," adding that they "have maintained a cautious stance on the wedding of the two."
On the other hand, YTN Star released the real wedding invitation of Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin containing a wax stamp with "binjin 2022" on it.
In addition, the inside of the invitation contains a "BINJIN" word engraved in gold embroidery on the lower right corner with a drawing of a woman wearing a wedding gown.
"BinJin" is derived from their names Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin created by fans and shippers after the couple confirmed that they are dating.
