Jeon Mi Do shares that "it felt really strange" and "a bit weird" where it came to the point that she didn't feel like watching herself but Jung Chan Young.

In JTBC's melodrama, her character plays an acting teacher whose lifelong dream is to become an actress.

Unfortunately, it was cut short after being diagnosed with a terminal illness.

To recall, her two best friends, Cha Mi Jo (Son Ye Jin) and Jang Joo Hee (Kim Ji Hyun), want her to become the happiest terminally ill patient in the world; hence they help her fulfill her final wish.

Another character close to Jung Chan Young is her lover Kim Ji Seok, portrayed by Lee Moo Saeng.

As translated by a media outlet, Jeon Mi Do confessed that she had concerns about how people would take their on-screen relationship but says it was written from another perspective.

In addition, the actress says that she "felt that it made her a more realistic character," adding, "Since she isn't perfect in every way or always calm, the fact that she had that foolish side to her felt realistic."

To recall, "Thirty-Nine" faced backlash after being accused of romanticizing extramarital affairs between Jeon Mi Do and Lee Moo Saeng's character.

The actress shared that she and her "Thirty-Nine" co-star were in the bride's waiting room and cried when she saw how stunning Ye Jin was.

She said, "It felt like marrying off a longtime friend from high school. Weirdly enough, seeing her in a wedding dress made me tear up."

Moreover, she also recalled how the experience was the same in the drama, noting that her character wanted Cha Mi Jo to get married.

She also revealed that Son Ye Jin even asked her, "Why are you crying?'"
