The 40-year-old star has returned to the small screen two years after his blockbuster thriller romance series "Flower of Evil" with Moon Chae Won, Jang Hee Jin, and Seo Hyun Woo.
In his K-drama comeback, Lee Joon Gi transforms into an accomplished prosecutor, Kim Hee Woo. he shows how passionate he is to cut down corrupt officials.
However, an unexpected incident happened after he was murdered by an unidentified person while investigating a high-profile case.
Fortunately, he returned and was given a second chance at life but travels back 15 years ago to set things right.
In the SBS fantasy revenge K-drama, he is joined by Kim Ji Eun, who plays Kim Hee Ah, the youngest daughter of Cheonha Group's CEO and veteran actor Lee Kyung Young as assemblyman Cho Tae Seob.
Released on April 8, "Again My Life" premiered to a good start after garnering an average nationwide rating of 5.8 percent and making it the most-watched series on its timeslot.
Interestingly, the third episode sees a significant change after hitting its highest viewership rating yet.
According to Nielsen Korea, Lee Joon Gi's new drama climbed to 8.1 percent for its average nationwide rating.

While the viewers are getting hooked on Lee Joon Gi's new drama, the 40-year-old actor flaunts his jaw-dropping visuals in Single's magazine alongside Kim Ji Eun.
During his interview with the outlet, he got honest and shared his initial thoughts about his character.
The "Lawless Lawyer" star mentioned how he is similar to his character.
As obtained by Herald Pop, he mentioned that he feels a "mental connection" between Kim Hee Woo because they share the same "core disposition and character."
However, he almost didn't accept the offer because of these similarities.
For Lee Joon Gi initially felt doubtful because his new drama would be very much like the previous characters he played.
What made him change his mind was his conversation with director Han Cheol Soo, who is also behind the 2000 K-drama "All About Eve."
"As we diligently ponder together, we end up finding new directions," he said. Now, he is thankful for the director, staff, and fellow actors "who have been pondering [these questions] together with me."
"Again My Life" episode 5 will air on April 22 at 10 p.m. KST via SBS and ViuTV.
Lee Joon Gi to Possibly Replace Song Joong Ki in 'Arthdal Chronicles' Season 2
From Lee Joon Gi's new drama this 2022, the actor has been selected to lead the cast of "Arthdal Chronicles" season 2 after Song Joong Ki dropped out from the series.
His agency, Namoo Actors, said that the star is "positively reviewing" the offer.
Meanwhile, the female lead is offered to Shin Se Kyung, who is set to play Kim Ji Won's character Tan Ya.
