Lee Joon Gi updates fans about his health status as he officially returns to filming the new drama "Again My Life."
The 40-year-old South Korean actor has returned to the small screen after headlining the 2020 smash hit series "Flower of Evil" with Moon Chae Won, Jang Hee Jin, and Seo Hyun Woo.
From being the loving husband turned serial killer Do Hyun Soo, the versatile actor transformed into an enthusiastic prosecutor in the newest SBS series.
However, as "Again My Life" made its premiere on April 8, Lee Joon Gi tested positive for COVID-19 on April 18, which prompted the actor to cancel his scheduled activities. This includes his filming with his current drama.
Interestingly, the "Lawless Lawyer" star took to social media to update his 6.1 million followers about his health condition.
Lee Joon Gi Returns to the Set of 'Again My Life'
On Lee Joon Gi's Instagram, he shared a photo of his "Again My Life" co-stars alongside a heartfelt message for fans.
The actor expressed his gratitude to all his supporters, who wished for his speedy recovery.
"Thanks to your support, I'm coming back in good health! Thank you. I will work harder until the end to repay you. The second round of health begins," he wrote alongside emojis suggesting that he is ready for his upcoming activities, which include filming the rest of his scenes in the mystery drama.

As of this writing, Lee Joon Gi's Instagram post gained over 100,000 likes and thousands of messages from his followers.
Some expressed how they were thrilled to hear about his comeback to the filming session, while others wished the actor continued good health.
Lee Joon Gi Suffers from Mild COVID-19 Symptoms
To recall, Lee Joon Gi joins a slew of stars who tested positive for the virus amid their production.
At the time, the actor's agency, Namoo Actors, shared that he had "symptoms of poor condition" like a mild sore throat.
Due to this, he canceled all his activities to "take measures in accordance with guidelines of health authorities."
Now that Lee Joon Gi is back to "Again My Life" production, it means that the webtoon-based series is set to deliver another round of unexpected twists and turns that would keep the viewers at the edge of their seats.
Over SBS' official Instagram, the network teased fans with a sneak peek of what to expect on episode 7 airing this April 27.
Joining Lee Joon Gi in the drama are lead stars Kim Ji Eun, veteran actor Lee Kyung Young, and Jung Sang Hoon.
Viewers would catch "Again My Life" every Saturday and Sunday at 10 p.m. KST via SBS and ViuTV.
