Talented idol-actors Lee Junho, Doh Kyungsoo, Cha Eun Woo and more are ready to make their grandest return this year!
1. Lee Junho
Months after his successful series "The Red Sleeve Cuff" concluded, 2PM singer and actor Lee Junho confirmed on April 20 his upcoming small-screen comeback with "King the Land" (working title). He is also expected to star in the rom-com drama with SNSD member and "Hush" actress Im YoonA.
He will play the role of a chaebol heir Goo Won, a man who can't fake a smile to other people. He will meet Cheon Sa Rang (Im YoonA), who is opposite to his personality and will make his life turn upside down.
"King the Land" is reportedly to premiere in late 2022.
2. Ok Taecyeon
Taecyeon will take a break from the romance genre and will be the main lead for the forthcoming mystery-thriller series "Blind." Idol-actress Jung Eun Ji and Ha Seok Jin also confirmed their participation.
The "Vincenzo" star will also join the cast of the soon-to-be-released historical movie "Hansan."
3. EXO D.O.
On April 25, SM Entertainment confirmed that EXO member Doh Kyungsoo tested positive for COVID-19. They halted all his activities to focus on his treatment.
But fans of the award-winning idol-actor should be ready because he already finished filming his two upcoming movies, "Secret" and "The Moon." Both are in post-production and might be available in cinemas soon.
Plus, the "100 Days My Prince" star is finally returning to the small screen as he is confirmed to headline the court K-drama "Prosecutor Jin's Victory."
4. ZE:A's Im Siwan
Following the OCN's action-mystery series "Tracer," Im Siwan will have his immediate small screen comeback this year with StudioGenie's upcoming drama "I Don't Feel Like Doing Anything."
The "Run On" actor will lead the project together with another idol and actress Seolhyun of AOA.
5. GOT7's Jinyoung
The GOT7 member is one of the most booked and busy idol-actors this year. Viewers will be thrilled to watch the heartthrob as he is confirmed to reprise his roll as Bobby in the webtoon-based drama "Yumi's Cells" Season 2.
His Netflix movie "Yaksha: Operations Ruthless" also debuted on Netflix on Aprik 8.
Meanwhile, Jinyoung will lead the film "A Christmas Carol," which is slated to air this 2022.
6. Cha Eun Woo
Cha Eun Woo's last drama appearance was in the 2020 high school rom-com drama "True Beauty." This year, the ASTRO member will meet his fans again through the mystery-action drama "Island."
The star-studded movie "Decibel," starring Kim Rae Won, Lee Jong Suk, and the idol-actor, is also scheduled to premiere this year.
7. SHINee's Minho
Choi Minho, who made special cameos in the series "Lovestruck in the City" and "Yumi's Cells" Season 1, is back with two upcoming dramas, one of which is the horror-thriller "Goosebumps."
The SHINee member is also ready to dominate Netflix with his youth-romance drama "The Fabulous," alongside Chae Soo Bin.
