Jang Hyuk has been lauded for his impeccable acting skills and his youthful aura, especially his physique.

During his early days in the industry, he was among the hottest K-drama stars. He graced magazine covers and showed off his perfectly ripped body. No wonder how he aced doing his stunts in action-packed scenes.

To recall, viewers were stunned to see Jang Hyuk's character in the 2018 series "Bad Papa." He played the role of the doting father, Yoo Ji Cheol.

The MBC series follows the story of a father and a former top MMA fighter who lost everything in an unfortunate incident.

In one episode, he returns to the ring flaunting his toned body and solid rock abs.

Interestingly, boxing and physical activities are not new for the actor. In fact, he loves working out.

During his interview with Iligan Sports back in 2018, the award-winning star spoke about the changes now that he is a father of three adorable kids.

Jang Hyuk revealed that he takes care of his kids when he is not at work and mostly stays at home to be with his family.

"I wasn't like this when I was a student, but now I only go to the office, boxing club, home, and sometimes a soccer field in that cycle. It's really easy to find me," he continued.

Interestingly, he is also known for being a gym rat or someone who spent so much time working out.

At the time, he realized that he had been working out for almost 30 years but loved the feeling of how exercise and sweating made him feel.

"I wanted to become an athlete when I was younger. I liked to sweat. And I promised myself to exercise every day. I like the feeling of getting stronger mentally and physically," the actor explained.

Interestingly, spending the majority of his time at the gym is his way of meeting his the one.

Meeting His Wife at the Gym

Jang Hyuk's wife is a pilates instructor at the gym and met him at the facility.

In the same interview, he mentioned that he purposely took the class to meet her, adding, "but didn't tell her I liked her right away."

Moreover, Jang Hyuk revealed that it took him three months doing a pilates session because he had to be cautious and wanted her to get to know the actor first.

Because of his sneaky way of getting to know his now-wife, he was the only guy out of 40 women, noting "the ajummas were so interested in me that the first week of class was challenging. I bet my wife thought, 'What's he doing there?' because we did a lot of feminine moves."

Fortunately, all his hard work paid off, and he officially tied the knot with Kim Yeo Jin in June 2008.
