Song Kang set the record straight regarding an online post that went viral.
As noted by SBS Star, a restaurant became a massive hit to netizens after the "Nevertheless" star was spotted lining up.
In April 2021, an alleged photo of the Hallyu actor became a trending topic in online communities. It came after the uploader claimed that the guy spotted was Song Kang. He was seen lining up to enter the restaurant.
The post reads, "I think that guy with a mask is Song Kang. I wasn't brave enough to go up to him and say hi, though."
Surprisingly, not only did they gain the public's attention, but the restaurant turned into a huge hit and became a must-visit place.
Unfortunately, that's not the case.
Song Kang Effect? Actor Clarifies the Viral Post
According to the same media outlet, Song Kang cleared the rumors after a fan posted a comment saying that the restaurant went viral because of him.
Interestingly, the actor took time and replied to get things straight.
The "Forecasting Love and Weather" star said that he is aware that people started to visit a particular restaurant after a post claims that he was spotted at the line.
However, he revealed that he hasn't set foot at that restaurant, saying, "the truth is, I've never visited it before."
Moreover, the actor also added, "In fact, I don't even know where it is. Is it any good? I'll go and try it if it's good."

On the other hand, Song Kang's agency, Namoo Actors, has also spoken up about the alleged photo of the actor.
In a statement, the talent label said that the uploader must have mistaken a random guy as the actor and reiterated that Song Kang has not heard of the restaurant before it went viral.
"As Song Kang said himself, he doesn't know about this restaurant. We believe the initial uploader mistaken another guy for Song Kang, but that post went too viral."
