Titled "Spring," the latest episode highlights Choi Joon Woong's (Rowoon) special mission.

"Tomorrow," episode 13 introduces a new character named Jeon Bo Yun, who will be the new member of Park Joong Gil's (Lee Soo Hyuk) escort team.

The rookie member was thrilled to be part of the department. Interestingly, she was also recognized by the team leader, which made her happy since Bo Yun admired Park Joong Gil.

As the story continues, the escort team's newbie was also introduced to Goo Ryeon and mentioned that she would be working with their department, the Risk Management team, for this particular task.

At their headquarters, she meets Choi Joon Woong and Im Ryung Goo as they discuss plans for their new case.

It involves two old women. One is planning to end her life while the other is about to meet her death.

In addition, the Jumadeung director, Emperor Jade (Kim Hae Sook), also revealed to Goo Ryeon that the new mission is related to Choi Joon Woong's past.

The Stories of Comfort Women

The RM team and Jeon Bo Yun meet Bok Hui, whom they saw cleaning the statue of freedom as it reminds her of her long-lost friend, Yun-i.

She tells Goo Ryeon and Ryung Goo that she discovered that her friend was forced to become a comfort woman during the Japanese colonial era.

Learning that the two are grim reapers, Goo Ryeon explained that they are not escorting her to the afterlife but stopping her from ending her life.

Bok Hui explained that she felt guilty because Yun-i ended up being a comfort woman because of her.

A flashback featured in episode 13 showed Yun-i and Bok Hui when they were a teen.

After Yun-i's father died, Bok Hui showed her an ad about a possible job. Unfortunately, things did not go according to their plan. Yun-i, alongside other girls, was held captive to be Japanese soldiers' slave. They were raped, and some were beaten to death.

This is also where Yun-i meets Lee Jeong Mun, who became her close friend.

In the present time, Bok Hui was able to meet Jeong Mun to tell stories of Yun-i. She recalled her bravery and how she helped her and the girls escape from the soldiers.

However, Bo Yun has another mission to fulfill, and that is to escort Jeong Mun.

While on to her final hours, Jeong Mun recognized Choi Joon Woong. The old lady tells him that she won't forget his face and will remember what he did to save them.

It turned out that Joon Woong's past life was as a soldier. He saved Jeong Mun and the others from the Japanese soldiers after running away from the camp.
