Yoo Ji Tae is set to appear in a back-to-back K-drama this 2022. The versatile actor took on the role of The Professor for the Korean remake of the Netflix series "Money Heist."
The highly-anticipated adaptation titled "Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area" will be released under the streaming giant and scheduled to premiere on June 24 with 12 episodes.
In the upcoming series, Yoo Ji Tae plays the iconic role that Álvaro Morte originally portrayed. The professor is the mastermind behind the country's biggest heist.
In the Spanish series "La Casa De Papel," the professor's real name is Sergio Marquina but he is better known by his moniker because of his role in the group.
Joining Yoo Ji Tae as the lead star is Kim Yoon Jin, who plays Seon Woo Jin from the police force. She might be the Korean version of detective Raquel Murillo or Alicia Sierra.
Competing gang members are Park Hae Soo (Berlin,) Jeon Jong Seo (Tokyo,) Lee Won Jong (Moscow,) Kim Ji Hoon (Denver,) Lee Hyun Woo (Rio), and more.
In addition to Yoo Ji Tae's new K-drama is the action thriller "Vigilante."
The 46-year-old actor is currently in talks to play one of the lead characters but is positively reviewing the offer to join Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Joon Hyuk.
