Heo Sung Tae Transforms Into Corrupt Prosecutor in 'Insider'
The versatile actor returns to his villain image as JTBC teases fans with still cuts featuring Heo Sung Tae's new character.
In the upcoming K-drama, he portrays Yoon Byung Wook, a corrupt prosecutor involved with fraud and covering up financial crimes by influential businessmen. In return, he gets his fair share of benefits.
Before becoming a crooked public servant, Yoon Byung Wook was known for being the youngest applicant to pass the bar exam. This advantage exposed him to success in an early stage of his career.
However, he encounters the judicial trainee named Kim Yo Han, played by Kang Ha Neul, who is about to expose the wrongdoings in the prosecution. To prevent this, Yoon Byung Wook's mission is to get rid of the rookie.
Based on the still cuts released by JTBC, Heo Sung Tae exudes an aura of a powerful figure. The elite prosecutor hints at possible chaos against those who wanted him to get dismissed and expose his vicious acts.
The 44-year-old actor is best known for his role as gangster boss Jang Deok Soo and player number 101 in "Squid Game."
