Song Kang Ho, IU, and the rest of the "Broker" cast, including director Koreeda Hirokazu return to South Korea after a triumphant experience at the Cannes Film Festival 2022.
The drama film, helmed by the renowned Japanese filmmaker, received an overwhelming response from the audience as it made its debut at the prestigious ceremony.
From South Korea, lead stars Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won, IU, and Lee Joo Young, together with the "Broker" director, flew to France to attend the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
The movie joins selected Korean films like "Decision to Leave," Bae Doona's "Next Sohee," and Lee Jung Jae's directorial debut "Hunt" to introduce Korean content to a global audience.

On May 30, the "Broker" team was welcomed by fans and media as they arrived at the Incheon International Airport.
Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won, IU, Lee Joo Young, and director Koreeda Hirokazu warmly greeted the public.
In addition, Song Kang Ho proudly showed off his recent achievement, holding his Best Actor trophy for photo ops.
To recall, "Broker" was selected as a competitor in the Cannes Film festival's Palme d'Or category.
Despite the "Triangle of Sadness" directed by Ruben Östlund winning the coveted award, the "Broker" team didn't go home empty-handed as Song Kang Ho took home a record-breaking title.
The 55-year-old star makes history at Cannes Film Festival 2022 by bagging the Best Actor award.

The latest achievement made him the first Korean male star ever to win an acting award at the prestigious ceremony.
Apart from the actor, another South Korean also took home an award as "Decision to Leave" director Park Chan Wook took home the "Best Director" award.
Not only that, but "Broker" also received a 12-minute standing ovation from the crowd after the film premiered.
It only showed that K-contents are dominating the international scene by giving the viewers entertaining and remarkable films.
Song Kang Ho Expressed Gratitude Following his Historic Win at Cannes Film Festival
As noted by Xports News, Song Kang Ho briefly talked about his experience at Cannes Film Festival 2022 and after taking home a major award.
He said that he could say much on stage as they were only given limited time to talk, but the actor expressed his deep gratitude to "fans for constantly watching Korean movies," adding that it would be possible "without the love and support of the fans."
"Broker" is among the actor's lineup projects this 2022. He recently starred in "Emergency Declaration" as detective In Ho alongside Lee Byung Hun, Jeon Do Yeon, Im Si Wan, and more.
Prior to this, he is best known as the Kim patriarch in Bong Joon Ho's award-winning film "Parasite."
